  • There is quite a good independent (i.e. not part of a chain)record shop at the end of the high street nearest the station
  • theres a gd 1 at the end of the highstreet near subway it looks crap from the outside but it has loadsa gd stuff inside

  • Sliped Discs is the proud owner of the most knowedgable music buff in the world. the man knows the answer to every question I've ever asked and the shop sells at a reasonable rate, best place for CD's in town by a long shot.
  • HMV is the very best place for music etc
  • Slipped discs, though wollies is good for the popular stuff... and a bargain bin providing pre-war cd's for a relations birthday. Girls Aloud also available.;
  • Sound Zone in Basildon (used to be called Dance Bass) has moved a few times, good for dance music.
  • Slipped Discs- at the Rail Station end of the High Street. I find it has a surprisingly large stock and nearly always has what I'm looking for.

  • Slip disks, sells all various kinds of music, some vinyl they are pretty good for drum and bass vinyls, but if you can get to basildon you are better of going Sound Zone opposite toy r us loads of Vinyl all styles also sell tape packets and tickets

  • Slipped Discs are great. They are at the end of the High Street by Western Road. They have a very wide selection and will try to order anything that you can't find.
