The Stuff We Can't Fit In Somewhere Else
- People who have posted things up on here have to take a look in the mirror or take a look at the sky news. There is one hell of a lot worse things going on than kids hanging at the shops in south green or being close to basildon. Billericay is a nice little town and we are lucky to have been brought up in such an area. Unfortunatley for some people they are born into dirty housing estates in london, surrounded by drugs and violence. People being shot or stabbed on thier estate every week or so, HOW THE HELL DOES BILLERICAY COMPARE TO THAT. Billericay sounds like heaven when matched to places like this. You people need to grow up and stop moaning about little things, the people in the background that never gets noticed. I think any one could walk around any part of billericay at any time and not be bothered by anyone, you cant even walk around certain places in london or even basildon and soon as the sun goes down. Think about what your saying and think about how lucky you really are to be able ti live a good life unlike others. selfish pricks!
- As far as I know there still is a nudist site in Billericay, located, quite appropriately, in blind lane.

- What's different about Billericay? It's just the same in Bournemouth.
Pesonally I'd like to see all of the estate agents shot and buried in lime. It would be a fitting and just solution .
- Billericay is an amaizing place, especially for young children as there are such delights as the park which is beautiful on a sunny day! Although the boats have been taken away for safety reasons, you can still find the play area, swimming pool, feed the ducks and play not only normal golf, but also crazy golf - as well as use the tennis courts!!! As we grow up - there is less to do until the age of 18 - when you will suddenly find the new delight of pubs - there are hundreds of them, catering for every tipe of person! And i am pretty sure that anyone can now use eddies (once the edwardian) which i have been told has an extensive range of snooker tables as well (dont hold my word for this though as i rarely go!) If the nightlife in billericay doesnt suit you - it is not far on the train to many other places including london so it isnt so bad!!!

- A corection to the famous resident "John Moss of Culture Club" who lived on Noak Hill Rd, it wasn't him, it was Roy Hay the guitarist of the band.
Before him one of the 70's group The Rubetts used to live in the house.
- The phantom tramp, resident in Frithwood. Many have searched for this illusive figure, commonly mistaken for a ghost by naive children. Also Robin of Frithwood, a local madman who goes shooting in the woods, a bit too close for comfort!
- The alien in Frithwood?! It exists, ive seen it with my own eyes!
- Billericay has a lot of money and lots of people who are quite happy to spend it - it desperately needs some good, independant, original bars to wake up its inhabitants. Stop Basildon Council nicking all our money!!
- Only tomorrow in The Sun
- I think Barry Leach was the hardest person to tread on the hallowed Billericay ground. I remember the day he destroyed Ben Hudson's nose for saying that Barry wasn't that hard!
- Myself (and many others) have noticed on a number of occasions strange white objects darting through Frithwood. Apparently an alien, spent ages looking for it and never saw it again!

- Nicer bus drivers (bring back Reg Varney!!!!!) That's all folks, cheers!
- Billericay was a great place to grow up in in the 60's. Jimmy Greaves came to town in a new Capri, when everyone else had a Vauxhall Viva. There was one Chinese restaurant, heading into town from the railway station. A novelty back then. Us kids used to stalk the park keepers - a release from Buttsbury school, where you got hit over the head with metal trays if you didn't eat your greens. It may be a quiet town, but enjoy it before London consumes it.
- Don't know if it's still there but over past Blunts Wall (Billericay Town FC)and up the country lanes there used to be a nudist site that was always good for a laugh (not to join in)

- Billericay is really boring for the under 16's We need more to do!!!!
- I felt that I had to put 'pen to paper', so to speak, in defense of Billericay. I feel that the comments from Debbie and her friend paint a quite gloomy picture of the town. I grew up in Billericay and feel that I am quite qualified to comment.
It is true when they say that there is not many things in the town (cinema etc), but when I was a 'youngster', we played sport most of the time (the sports facilites are pretty good). If we wanted to go and do something different, we would catch a bus and go into Basildon or Brentwood. The reason that the town does not have some of things that the larger towns have is because of Basildon District Council. They took control of the town and used all the revenue from the rates/poll tax/council tax for improving Basildon. I feel that you can't have things both ways. I used to work in Dagenham and loved living in Billericay because it was quiet, pretty and has a very unique atmosphere. I have since been all around the world and appreciate the town's qualities more every time I go back. I would not want to live anywhere else in Essex. If you really want to 'live it up', take a train and go into London. It seems to me that the kids in Billericay don't do anything much at all. They just hang around the High Street doing nothing. I can't remember me or my friends ever doing this; we would always be playing some sport or trying to get into a pub!! I would like to see the negative comments toned down a bit on the page. By the way, Billericay has some great pubs that really know how to keep beer. - What this town needs is a greasy spoon cafe. Somewhere common as muck, that has good fried breakfasts (vegetarian) and a damn good cup of cha (tea for you southerners). It also needs a theatre company, one that is young, happening and run by us! Bilericay can be an exciting place. Possibly even a cool place for young people to prosper and achieve. To achieve these aims the following things must happen:
- The immediate opening of a 24 hr garage
- The immediate removal of the Tories ensconsed in all positions of power in the surrounding area (social comment)
- All be-suited commuters to undergo immediate personality therapy aprt from the few nice ones (relations and friends excepted).
- For certain Taxi firms based by the train station to get their act together.
- More bands playing in pubs.
- More cash tills positioned nearer the train station because it is a real pain when you're in a hurry.
