• There's no other spot for this - all I want to say is check your map. Billingham is not and never has been in Tyne & Wear (whoever told you this wants shooting). It used to be in County Durham, then Cleveland. When Cleveland was abolished in 1996, Billingham was not designated a new County so officially belongs in none, however Tyne & Wear is about as inaccurate as you can get.

• just for everyones infomation billingham is in stockotn-on-tees and not tyne and wear! there is also an international folklore festival in billingham every year
• Billingham is actually some way south of Tyne & Wear - 20/30 miles!! It is part of what used to be Cleveland and previous to that - Co Durham. Please amend your records.

• You state that Billingham is in Tyne and Wear - well it wasn't when I grew up. It takes about an hour to reach Tyne and Wear from Billingham. It used to be in Durham (until they decided that southern Durhan should be hived off and joined to part of North Yorkshire) then it was in Teesside (until they got rid of that County) then it was in Cleveland (until they got rid of that County) now it's in Stockton-on-Tees. Hope you will amend your page - it's like saying somthing is in Suffolk when it's in Essex.

• billingham has a long history, longer than ICI! it stretches back to the vikings, billingham translates as Billing's home. the name of a viking who settled here. the church on old billingham green has parts that date back this far. there are various books that cover parts of billinghams history, the Book Inn in the town centre stocks some of them
