Hmmm. Seems like you took my advice and visited your doctor Moscowman. You don’t seem to have this complex that everyone is moaning about something. Now, all you have to do is get this fixation with houses cured and you’ll be fine.

Having only just started family history research on the families of my deceased parents, I have already discovered much information on my mother's side of the family, the Warners. Information so far reveals the possible trace, in line, right back to the 1650's in Binsted, with my grandfather being born in Bentley, following the family transfer from Binsted. Can anyone add to my small pile of i... more >>

Yates Family Tree by Sharon Mead (Member 10117002) on 8-Feb-2004
I have started to trace my family tree and find that my Grandmother was born in Bentley in 1894. Her parents were James and Ann Yates and lived in Binsted at the time of the 1881 census. They had a total of 13 children between 1879 and 1894 and James died in 1902. James was an agricultural labourer. Does anyone have any information about this family?

phone masts by Richard Miller-Williams (Member 10008277) on 20-Jan-2001
If you live near an electricity sub-station, particularly one owned by Southern Electric, and there are no mobile phone masts near you, beware. Southern electric might well allow a mobile phone company to install a mast and base station on their premises before the laws are tightened. At present masts can be within 50 metres of homes, but new legislation will bring in a limit of 200metres (in Aust... more >>

  • Re: Andrews Family by Steve Priestley (Member 10191606) on 18-Aug-2006
Hi, my interest in the Andrews family of Binsted is a bit tangential. In 1855, James Andrews of Westcote, Binsted, owned the land on which my house now stands, in Headley. I've gathered a bit of information from Hampshire Records Office, eg on his Church Rates and Poor Rates payments, which I'd be pleased to forward. I'm trying to find out when and how he disposed of the land. Best wishes, Steve Priestley.
