- Birkonians are awesome...friendly very different from scousers which is not a bad thing...I used to say (as a Birkonian) that Birkenhead was the "posh" side of the Mersey!
- The North End is undergoing a complete change, from the buildings to the people. it has a wonderful enviromental action group and is the area targeted for the Wirral Tree Wardens First Tree planting scheme.
- The town has some nice architecture...

- Yatess is a good crack, the girls in birkenhead are quite fine, the lap dancin bar, not being in liverpool coz its just scouse! I guess Its a historical place, drinking and outside the town it just gets nicer. Shopping is pretty good in contrast to most towns.

- The best things about birkhead are the clubs down town and the people although a lot are KNOBHEADS. There is a very good cinema here i guess but the prices are poop...something like £4.50 a pop now for a blockbuster movie. Also the Ford Esate owns coz i live there(Known by many to be a shithole...)
- Cheap rents on council estates (especially the ones where no-one wants to live!
- IRON DOOR, live bands, good prices, it's not just the best place on the Wirral for live bands, it's the best by far
- The whole place. It really is lovely.
- for all the people who slag off birkenhead. you should go and live in the south of england for a while. on youre return you will welcome the friendly attitude of birkonians, the south is full of whinging softshites with no sense of humour. i've been back here for a year and would never give the south another penny. and as most peopl know, if youre the sort of person to hang around argyle street after dark, expect anything.
- People who used to live in Birkenhead slagging it off because they haven't been there recently!! (i.e. Me!)
- Birkenhead is the best, I spent the best years of my life there, especially as a teenager in the 70's!!
- Memories of skeleton records, spending loads of the money i didnt have on second hand LP.s with the price written on the inner sleeve, I still have lots of these to this day. must have been the seediest record shop in the world.
