- my dad peter davenport was born in birkenhead and lives in birkenhead now. He has played for many prof. football clubs including nottingham forest and man united. He has also played football for england. Please include him as people think he is a scouser which he isn't. He is from BIRKENHEAD AND PROUD OF IT!
- How about the famous (I think) American writer Nathaniel Hawthorne? He wrote The Scarlet Letter among a heap of others stories, but of some interest to some is the fact that for several years he was the US Consul in Liverpool about 1850, and lived in Rock Ferry (Rock Park to be exact)

- Wilfred Owen, who went to Birkenhead Institute. A once proud school that found itself surrounded by the pit of the Wirral (not all the residents, just the drug dealing smackhead scum that now seems to populate the North End), and was rightly closed down.

- Lily Savage used to live in Birkenhead (and was a very good mate of my dads), and Sonja (the singer, a very long time ago used to live here. Also numerous characters from Brookside, as well as the stunt double for Arnold Swazeneger!
- Hunter (ex Gladiator, ended up doing time for dealing drugs etc) - lives in Oxton opposite the Queens Arms
- Simon Mason, not only the 'BEST' scorer in the European Cup and for Ulster (which we won) but the sexist Rugby player I have ever seen, oh and I had better mention the best Full-Back and Goal-Kicker aswell. Thanks for comming to Ulster Simon!
