• Think it's called 'Mario's' or something, it's in New Ferry, in the actual ferry part with all the shitty ass charity shops EVERYWHERE, it makes THE BEST folded Garlic bread with cheese I have ever tasted in my life. Cheap, greasy as fuck and certainly orgasmic.

• Oceans Fish Bar on Rose Mount in Oxton is good as of Sept 05. Can also recommend: The Spice Club - Moreton The Thai Rooms - Liscard The Olive Grove - Heswall I like eating, I do.
• Venecia opp tranmere rovers - great staff, but an italian restaurant which cant cook pasta? (nuff said), clientele have low expectations!! but the mussels are outstanding. Ruhi balti on woodchurch lane - the curry of legends
• the regentville chinese on conway street facing the market ( argos extra)
• The Harbour Lights cafe in Claughton food serves excellent food and the staff are really pleasant, well worth a visit for a decent cheap meal also serve a great sunday roast open 7.30 to 2.30 daily
• That Regentville Chinese buffet restaurant is pretty decent, its quite big and the interior is looking good.
• Unless you want a pink, bacteria hot dog, stick to what you know and cook some toast when you get in.
• The Coffee Mill in Borough Pavement (near Beatties) definately has the best coffee in town. Great home cooked grub and brilliant butties. The all day brekky is brill!

• Villa Jazz - Oxton Village, Birkenhead. Great atmosphere, fab food/wine & friendly service. Highly recommended. *****

• The Mayflower in Oxton Village. Really friendly, top food.
• One average chippy, some cafes. Again, if you want chips, look around in the suburbs, where you get better portions at the same price. Nothing really exotic.
• Capitol Chinese Restaurant. Argyle Street. ****
• Villagers antiquarian English restaurant. Rosemount, Oxton Village. *****
• Lilly's Chippy (the best of over 100) St. Anne's Street off Park Street off Price Street. ******
• Nahid Balti House in Laird Street (opposite the co-op) does fabulous take-away Indian food. I recommend their Mixed Kebab starter. It's a meal by itself.
