Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
- Hell hole birkenhead, you got to be pissed to enjoy.Always kick off`s. If your an out of towner aviod,go to liverpool top night.millions of bars
- Decades Night CLub on Argyle Street, not long been open, is great. You don't get no nobheads, the beers cheap and the tunes are swingin'. Best nights are Wednesday when its £10 in and a FREE BAR!!! Or FRIDAY NIGHTS, open 'till 4am and propper class like, The owner is cool is well, she's dead funny and always makes ya feel welcome, shes really hands on and makes sure ya okay at the end of the night too. Dead easy to get a taxi from ther too, at the end of the night
- Went to Bam-Buddha lounge's first birthday, it was an amazing "White Ball" the place was covered in snow and Anton Powers played some great funky house. Bam-Buddha is the place to be in Birkenhead!!!
- Hex nightclub and live music venue
we dont allow underage drinking, but we do have weds/fri dedicated to 'teen demons' mini-mosher night for 13-17y/o open 5-10pm with soft drinks and food.
for more info see the nightclub entry :)

- Most pubs clubs in birkenhead resemble a school disco ( loads of kids high on cider ) Stay away from the cool room if you like life as the kids do tend to get a bit violent after a few wine gums. Fever is vile no atmosphere and sticky floor! The brass balance in argyle st is ok and drink is cheap. I would recommend staying around argyle street avoiding the trendy bars.
- sherlocks is shit
- what about the bunker?! ok it's not the best club around but it is definitely a life experience worth having.
- RITE!!! birkenhead is has changed since the 80's!!! im old enough to go to now and i dont even remember tyhere being a place called the drome or the ice bar!!! thats how much its changed!!! the beach is amazing the fever is gud but u av 2 be very drunk to go there but it is gud. id start the nite off in the beach its buyone get one free till 11 then head to bam buddha lounge av a few drinks then either the fever or the cool room. stay away from sherlocks or rockys unless ur desperate or really want to pull a minger!!! sophies is ok but nothing special. the latin quarter is a bit boring but there couches so u cud relax whilst listening to the same music ova again and its takes u 2 hours to get a drink!
- de do like cos my sis is 15 and got into the latin quater and got pissed
- For rock it has to be either the Door or Stairways in Birkenhead or The Crazyhouse in Liverpool.
- The Iron Door was always the best place to go in Birkenhead...if you didnt mind your shoes sticking to the floor and people vomiting over you! But it was AWESOME!
- Stairways and Iron door if your into rock or live music. The rest is a depressing dive full of lug heads. If you like fighting go to Birkenhead. If you like a really good night out go to Liverpool.....and yes i am from Birkenhead
- The info here is a bit dated, but b/head offers a pretty good night out. ok its not a good a Liverpool but we never said it was! Yes there are fights but no more than any other place which hosts so many venues. Kickoffs tend to happen when a group from another area come to use the venues and start mouthin off. Fellow birkenheadites dont take kindly to this and thats when the outsiders get filled in. If you dont like it stay out or simply keep yer gob shut. To keep this short many of the venues mentioned are pretty good i.e IRON DOOR, ROCKYS ect. Come down and try them out but dont draw attention to yourself too quickly.
- have to say for clubs go to liverpool birkenhead is full of kids im 26 and its like kindergarten some nites
- Stairways is still rockin!
Wed - student night
Thur - under 18 night (for real!!)
Fri - Hardcore night
Sat - Rock/Indie night
- The bars in Birkenhead arent too bad, yatess stands out above the rest just because everyone knows everyone and its such a good atmosphere. In town the ice bar and fever bar are probably the main attractions, although i wouldnt touch sherlocks, astons or sophies with a bargepole.
- Had to be Steps for me - otherwise known as Stairways. Occasionally did Atmosphere when it realised there was lots of money to be made from 80p a pint night!
- I wouldn't go out in Birkenhead if you wanna remain in 1 piece! Been nutted in the Colluseum once! Rocky's is full of old bastards trying to be young. Actually Birkenhead is a dump, which is why i moved to Manchester.
- Stairwayz on Argyle Street has a mini-mosh nite evry 2nd Thursday wid industrial and sum good nu metal stuff - if its your scene that is!
- Well...Not actually. Birkenhell nightlife is to be avoided at all costs. Its an absolte hell hole. Go to Liverpool.
- In Birkenhead there are many clubs and pubs. some of my favorites are The Ice Bar, Fever Bar, Serlocks and Yatees although the cool room is ok.
birkenhead is masive for clubs and pubs but Liverpool is much better i would say, no one knows who you are, people keep them selfs to them selfs over in liverpool, there is millions of places to go over there.
- The Drome, once with a UK-wide reputation for top quality rave & hardcore, is now a car park. Gutted!
- Just to let you know, Stairways has now been closed for 14mths, the CASBAR hasn't existed for nearly 2 years and the Iron Door has now been open for 7 months. It's SPOT ON for live bands! If you wanna judge this for yourself and then write a brilliant review of it, it's 62 Argyle Street, Birkenhead, weekends are best, come and visit coz it's worth it!
Ta
- What happened to Stairways?!?
- There is a new LAp dancing bar in the old Zuu, its always good for a laugh and a perv!!
- The Ice Bar is probably still the biggest club but the pubs are just as good.
- Sherlocks may look a bit dull, but it's a great laugh. The Ice Bar has lost its thing.
- Astons Bar is good. Ice Bar is good...well for about 10 minutes anyway ! Go to a couple and then jump the train to Liverpool - you'll have a much better night all round.
- the drome is now closed down
- The Zuu (used to be Atmosphere). mmmmm...... if you're older than 19 you probably get turned away!
The Drome (if it's still there).. Dave Graham et al were the residents when I used to live there.
- Go to Livvvverpooool instead.
- Try Stairway's nightclub, it's a good laugh... Drinks are 2 for 1 on Friday and Saturday night. Friday is Rock Night and Saturday is Indie night with lots of students!!! Zuu II is good on Thursday as it's 70 pence a pint and okayish music if you like Rave....!!!
Zuu II club on Fridays is now £10 admission, drink as much as you want, free bar, includes all mainline spirits, bottles (bud etc), alcopops etc - Ruperts club, Wednesday only, 50p all drinks.
- The 'Drome' nightclub in Birkenhead is the best club in Meseyside if you are into Happy Hardcore.
Another perspective on the Drome. Not a single local taxi driver will pick up from there as so many have been robbed / attacked etc. Enter at your own risk. - Now, Pandemonium hosts the club on a Saturday with many top DJs from around the country and the world. Basically a 'top night out' with many happy smiley faces. These people are well sorted.
- New club just opened, The COLLOSEUM on Conway Street free admission, live bands & acts, big dance floor, and most important....treble vodkas for £1.80. ICE BAR a few doors away, quite good too.
