• Epic's been taken over by some dodgy twats who've taken down the bowl and by the looks of it are doing likewise to the vert, but it's still the best park in birmingham no questions asked (Even if Moseley is a disgusting shitheap full of twats with knives), but if you aren't afraid to get mud thrown at you there's a pretty cool skatepark on Gospel Lane. It's got this dogy floor thats kinda like rubber and half bowl which is pretty fun to drop in on. There's no other gd skateparks sadly, except maybe shirley skatepark, but that's more an amateur skatepark.
• Solihull skatepark has been extended and has a really strong scene at the moment and anyone thats sad enough to put that solihull skaters are wanabes are obv worried that skating isnt for them are they mates are little cruisers if thats you come to solihull and be prepared to be shocked when you see thats its themselves who are the wannabes, the magistrates court out the back of touchwood by john lewis car park has a nice 4 with handrail and three set both smooth and both have plenty of run up and bust free on weekends

• Epic's by far the best park in brum, but its Moseley so its full of chav BMXers and bladers. There's WS2 in Walsall, but i think that's getting closed down. Again there's the concrete Kings Norton one, but the chavs deal drugs there so its not the best place..unless you wanna get freaking raped. Towns the best free place, pigeon park and the forum are good but they get busy. The top end of Broad st near the wheel rocks.
• Everywher! although there is a tiny skate park at Star City.
• There's a small slopping area below the car park/Wholesale markets in Pershore Street,behind a handy row of bushes,that skateboarders use-or least they used too-unless the local fuzz have moved 'em on ?
• Queensbridge schools good to skate on weekends, small 6 with rail, cannon hill parks good on a quiet day, little 3 set, small walls, skateble bandstand with grass gaps right next to it. Lots of smooth flat for beginners too. Bull ring car park is a no go, had our camera and boards confiscated for like 2 weeks, park hill in moseley is great for hill bombing, epics become crap, aviod it. The chinatown flatbank is sweet, and outside the bullring markets (not the bullring, the dodgyer area with all the restrants) there are sum nice flatbanks and hips, looks a bit scary but just bomb it. Kings heath park benches are sweet, oh yeh, skatepark coming soon to kings heath park so be nice around that area. kings norton parks good for a laugh, full of kevs, not hard tho. If u got the money, take a train to milton keynes, like a tenner. Its worth it.
• Kings Norton in brum now has a mega new skateboard rink in the park..its fantastic at last the council listenes to what the street wants yaaaaaaaaaaaay
• Birmingham, Bournville has nice places to sk8, Cadburys the chocolate factory (the tourist bit) has a nice 5 … and an 8 I think something like that, its got ledges with coping on them (to stop erosion of the wall,,, which just made it better. (once they did throw chocolate out the window). If you get off at Bournville train station and walk the opposite way of the tunnel you will see Cadburys Schweppes depending on what side of the road you are on there is a nice 9 and on the other side of the road there is a 7 and a nice 4 with a had rail going down. Just up the road from Bournville I’m told there is a new skate park being built in kings Norton Park… which is about a 10 minuet walk from Bournville or catch the train to cottride train station and its down the road.
• i dunno why no one has mentioned about the bullring 2 set , its a oversized two set that is made of marble . its butter smooth and good to session as well , if you go there at around 5ish when the shops are closed u can skate there and sercurity might not bother you , if you go in the day u prob get ppl walking pass staring at you or getting in the way but i prefer sliding/grinding the stair better than flippin them.
• Okay I know I keep putting up more but the Birmingham scene might just waste away, they've knobbed WH Smiths (which I'm going to be taking off next weekend), but places like the REP might be next. Aston Uni is a nice place to have a chill skate, nice 5 set with undoable green rail and the long 8, which Jason is attacking for his video part... And my personal favourite the mellow bank with the ledge, fun to mess around on attacking it from any direction. In the same area, there's the newly knobbed benches down the bottom of corporation street near ideal, still manaul-able and still able to pop over them. I like just pushing from the helipad and popping backside over the one next to the road, you get a nice fly out from the incline. If you go down the subway near there, you get to fastlands, poor surface on differing inclines but there's a 7, a 9, a mellow bank with kerb at the bottom and harsh bank with bigger drop at the bottom, both good to do tricks into. There's also a rail down the big bank, and a kinked rail down a double you might have seen Dustin Dollin bailing on. If you ever find yourself in the area, millenium point which is down the road next to the newly fenced off demolition (see my directions somewhere below) has some nice stuff to mess around on. There's the kicker/driveway at the front, anyone with the pop can fly out over the pole or maybe even the bench, maybe I'll put that in my video part... Oh and around the back there is a curved marble ledge which is nice to whip around, see if you can find it... And finally the car parks, it started off as a pretty hush hush deal but now everyone seems to know, I've sessioned moor street with about 20 kids which is ridiculous. We even had skate bettys, yeah in a car park!!! Moor Street level 5. Be discreet and go at some time past 5 at least. Double sided kerbs, plenty of smooth flat ground, little manual blocks. The car park is down by Digbeth, at the bottom of the Bull ring. Also worth a look is Edgbaston Street level 3, down by the markets. It stinks of piss and fish, but it has two road gaps in a row, one easily negotiable and the other a little longer, set up so that you can trick across the smaller one and have enough time to set up for the bigger one. There's also a weird big block thing that no-one's really figured out a use for, fun to pop off but mind your head. Neil
• Okay some more again, you must all know by now about the plaza renamed 'mini love' by some, please don't call it that. At the bottom of colmore row and opposite Birmingham central cop shop and the Evening Mail building. From ideal, go down that alleyway and turn left at the end and you'll see a nice little semi circular plaza. It's a complete wind trap so only windless days but there are loads of possibilities. Neil
• Me Puvan Kale and my mate Ellis Bowen like to skate the st peters 15 and the grammar ledge, also the campus 4 handrail.
• And some more, these are for people interested in going out of town to get some skating done... From town, take the 62 up to rubery and get off when you see safeways supermarket. From here, walk up alongside the supermarket to Virgin Cinema. This is a multi level carpark type thing, not like those multi floor deals but one that has 4-5ft grass gaps between levels. Nice for lines and stuff.
• In January 05 a Church on the Bristol Road, Selly Oak is seeting up six ramps and a fun box in their car park for one or two evenings a week, so anyone welcome to come and skate will post another update narer the time with address, admission will be free.
• fastlands has to be the all time good spot...and there is going to be a new concrete park being built on there to all those who dont know....and the ginger dude that owns epic is a w*nker as he tried to stop it from being built and apprently was going to make street skating "illegal" in bham..big ups to bob and zip ov ideal organising the park being built

• Okay, a few more - Document gap is a nice big grass gap near the canals. From the Rep, go down the road between the Hyatt and the Registry office. Go all the way down until you come to a driveway on your right hand side. Go up the driveway and hey presto, a 5 odd foot grass gap. Also, demolition is pretty hot right now, sessioned down there with Woodley and Moyle a few times. From Ideal, go down towards that helipad with the newly knobbed marble benches and turn right onto that dual carriageway. Cross over to the other side and walk down past that loading bay with the chain. You'll see it with the metal barriers all up around. The gap is the block over the pavement gap into the side road, and it's the one that little kris bigspinned for his document article. Oh, and you should check out Birmingham Uni. Take the 62 or 63 to the main gates and walk through. Don't skate till you find a spot because security is pretty tight, even on Sundays. They're safe though, so don't get up with the tongue, boyo. Some highlights are the computer science building, which has a run of 3 long 4 sets, and these blocks with round low rails on that you can slide to drop down. There's also some long double barred handrail round the back of the campus centre for big standup boardslides, not too steep either. Neil
• EPIC skatepark down alcester road is amazing <16's and BMXers have to wear helmets but if you're not one of them then it's all good. Everything you could want- verts,mini's big driveways/little ones quarters boxes, bowls,grindboxes all sorts... check it out.. 10 quid membership and 6 quid a session though NOT CHEAP!!!!!!!!! But worht it...shop included in park as well whcih is helpful if you break something............
• Why do people post easy to find spots? There's a nice little chill spot called the peace gardens with grindable/slidable ledges, and a nice little two set, small enough to try stuff up. There's a spot under the new tunnel that goes from outside the pavillions through to the queensway. If you're walking from outside pavillions, walk down the right hand side of the tunnel and hop th wall about half way down. It's a cool undercover ledge spot with loads of wood and stuff to build stuff with.

• Down by the Wesleyan building, they just built it and its already got waxed ledges, a few rails, steps n ledges tht r Ideal (heehee) to practise tricks off. smooth slabbed floor. cops sumtimes come but its easy enuff to leg it. its right up by Steelhouse Lane cop shop, but still a gd spot, not to busy either.

• there's a new spot in birmingham. it's an amazing flat bank in china town. it is pretty big and looks quite steep, but after you've got onto it, it feels really mellow. to get there, you have to go to the arcadian and then go through the car-park until you get to the road on the other side. turn left and cross the road it goes onto. then turn right and walk for about 30 seconds. it goes down the side of the pavement so you can't get in anyones way and theres no way you're going to send your board into the road. you won't get chucked off either. i was browning my pants when i saw some police coming along, but all they did was give me the 'whats your best trick son' line. to be fair it can be quite sketchy, but not majorly. it's not as bad as fletchers for example. it may not sound great but it is absolutely incredible. i'm really psyched about this because if your with a group, its safe, nice to skate and an all round great place. but make sure its not too crowded because it's only one flatbank and not huge. but go down and take a look because you will really like it. and don't think i can't be arsed because anyone can skate it and it's wicked. go on.
• hey there i wanna comment that a lot of u dont no what the fck u r onabout. u cant say that goths cant sk8 as i no a goth who goes to birmingham city centre who i have seen with my own eyes ollie over a 8 deck stacked up high and how many ppl u no can do that (i have heard that he will go in the guiness book of records if he beats sum bloke but i can not guarentee that is correct) so all u wankers that say goths cant sk8 have a better look nxt time. allthough i do agree that most of the solihull sk8ers are all wannab's and piss everyone off.
• The nia car park is a sweet place to skate, paradise 4um is alright, near centenery square which is also good there is flappa gardens not too good but on da way 2 that there is a good 4set, fast lands, whsmiths 7 and 9set, just wander round towns full of cool spots. l8rz jimbobo7

• Paradise is quite a fave spot, one of the safer spots to skate. fletchers walk is another good spot, its indoors, has a 4 with a small run-up, and its well smooth! great to skate on sundays, as all shops are closed. attached, is an open air spot with a few battered but slidable ledges. flecthers is a great spot to get mugged though, need to people-spot. cant go wrong at Centenary Square. it has 2s, 3s, 4s, and a 5 or two. a nice manual pad etc. wlak up broad street a bit, and cross the road from Centenary square theres a 2 and quite a nice 3, which is quite a safe spot and u very rarely get moved on.
• Go to the NIA and on the car park go down the bottom floor its good to skate no guards bother you its empty no cars and theres cones and stuff and a few flat banks quite low ceiling but nothing that gets in the way and only a few people go there
• Hi, there is a car-park in flechers walk and of course the 4set outside the car-park . Flappa gardens has a small rampy path and a little wall to grind. and finally there is a car-park with a biggish 4set by it . by james or just jim.

• If your up dudley theres a nice duble three set with a BIG!!! gap in the middle to re adjust your feet. lol. and just down the hill and across the road from theres a post office with a sweet waist high ledge and a flat bank you can sort of use as a kicker some of the tarmac is a bit ruff but its pretty sweet. an who eva the dik weed who sed there is two 7 sets at fast lands to him/her theres 1 decent 7 1 thats all diformed that you cant skate and another set which is a nine that my 'mate' jake reckonse hes kickfliped even tho hes sketchy and sh*t. ummm theres a great four set in blackwood school with loadsa smooth run up its fun. hales-owen theres a nice 5 by a oxfam there.Sutton if your on the high street and you go thru an alley towards TGI fridays before some steps there are some 5 foot high loadin bays to your left. The barcelona 3 in birmingham it... if you go out the back of paridise keep goin down the steps that way an you have to cross a dual cariage way...twice lol and if you can see a holiday in express there are these funny dimented plastic green thing rite out the front of it you cant mis em, by the way the set is bout as high as me an im 5"4 an its only a 3!!!!!! theres a holiday inn in solihul near a round about with these spitfire models on ittheres a few good things to skate there. Near Sandwell council house by the savacenter there is a long curving bench... well 2 of em. theres a five set in a school thats not 2 far away in the same skool theres a 4 wiv hardly any run up theres and tis long three made up of kerbs.
• there is this gr8 spot in oldbury at the holiday inn by the big rounderbout and toys r us.there are 3 gaps to do all 3 are different height,one ov the gaps u have 2do is over a bush.there are also banks 2 sk8.an it has a waxed curb,which isnt tht good.two manual pads.its very rare tht u get kicked off.ive sk8d it 4 bout 7months an only got kicked off twice
• the bingo and libary in great barr on the 51 bus route lots of smooth surfaces and steps to ollie off but beaware of the security guards and the doctors is also gd to hang in they sumtimes lock 1 gate
• epic skate park is one of the only indoor skate parks that let scooters in so if you scooter go there and they wont let anybody take scooters out the park.
• There is a place in kingshurst where me and my friends skate in kingshurst... it is a long steep path going down heading for a lake (don't worry... you won't go in [unless U want to of course]) but any way it is just by stonebridge crescent in kingshurst....................
• King's Heath park!!!!! SOO convinient...right next to school and a delicious bench to grind.
• Myself and a friend are currently attempting to sort something out with the local council to build a voluntary built (we make it, they don't even have to know about it!) mini park by the tennis courts in Kings Heath park. There is an empty sguare of concrete about 40m x 40m just sat there looking bored. granted the ground is a bit rough at the mo but that could be sorted. Anyway, lidle in Kings Heath has a nice low curb/manual bit for begginers (after 7pm - no cars), apart from that epic is the simplest solution i can think of. Oh, and whoever wrote grebo's can't skate can shove that up their ass. But i agree about goths, however they never really skate anyway.
• across the road from the centenary square there is a tall white building. If you cross the road you can go down the subway and there is a wicked street section. But watch out for the security guard. he calls the police sometimes.and there are many no skateboarding signs(GOOD FOR YOUR WALL) have fun!!!!
• paradice forum, behind the library is an O.K. place to skate it is out of the way of padestrians etc. Also people who can not skate should skate more to improve. [this comment is directed at people who talk down to people with less experience than themselves , even you were that bad once!!!]
• Despite having Europes biggest skate park (Moseley;over the road from Lidel)kids who can't skate still make fools of themselves near the city centre library

• By Board Legends To the left of it is the scotish bank, just go up the steps and you can skate there, there's a wall for wall-riding or jumping up and walls to ride, there's a set of two steps i think but someone's smashed up one of the blocks to make a ramp, wikid. There's also a huge open space to skate. they've put up no skating signs now but just ignore them unless a security guard comes out. There's a war memorial by broad street in centeenary square and everyone skates there, some people from the public get a bit uptight about you skating there due to the dead soldiers buried inside but tell them to go forth and multiply and they can't realy do much, also ignore the security guards unless they call the police then leg it, the guards knock off at 4 so free skating. Obviously be careful in birmingham as skating is illegal but only a minor set back untill the skate park is built in mosely! Oh yeah and the gardens down a spiral starecase from the centra;l libary (i think) well that's alright and some wikid skaters skate there but now the slide/grinding blocks have worn away so they're harder ton get up, over the wall from there is a car park which is undercover incase it rains, there's also barrals and bars to set up but watch out for the security they're a bitch. just by there is a subway and an inside bit but watch out for angry shop keepers and the bank just down from there is awsome but the security guards are on regular watch. enjoy!
• Have you tried SALTLEY WHEEL PARK, they have a big area for skating and theres a shop to get your food. free to use as well. No 87 bus I think, not to sure you'll have to find that out.

• chamberlain square used to be good for skateboarding but the council put down slabs thats totally impossible to skate over, why? its totally unfair, when they were tennagers they hung around in places, how would they feel if their favourite spot to hang around in got closed down, id been going up there for 3 years and recently stopped thanx to the council, they seem to be forgetting what it was like to be young, i loved it up there, i felt i totally fitted in and made a lot of friends, ok im 17 now and i guess it is time i stopped going up, but there were a lot of talented skaters up there and now theres nowhere to skate, its unfair and the council have made a lot of people very unhappy, it gets me so angry, i felt something should be said about the way they treat us. *rant over*
• ok- ya know wyndley leisure centre in sutton? well threes a scate park open there every we/thurs from 7 onwards! (called clifton!) also, malverns like scate city heaven!- no townies or kevs!!

• Hey, I noticed on the board that Victoria Square in Birmingham was a skate spot, Unfortunatly the council have put down ridged paving stones to make it impossible for people to skate here now! Sorry folks! There is however a place round the corner where people practise tricks and you can try stuff out, just ask the usual crowd of goths and skaters and they should lead you in the right direction. It's near by where the drum shop used to be, near that little alley of shops is. Sorry I can't be of more help
• Vertical Extreme has now closed leaving birmingham , englands second city without a skate park which is pretty shocking Central has also been totally destroyed - no longer skateable - with big anti skate bar type things on everything there
• The steps in victoria square: hundreds of grebos, skaters, wannabe skater, skevs all turn out to watch skaters of all sizes falling of their boards
• The Steps + Victoria Square; although they're frequently visited by our local Coppers, some of the best sk8ers in Birmingham are down there most weekends.
• Go 2 the steps outside central library. Also, the island by the west mids. fire station has a gr8 set ofsteps, mome rails and a flat bit of concrete. best bit is that is is sheltered by the lancaster flyover so you can sk8 there netime! also, there is a little park by sum shops as you cum out of town by the queensway tunnels, it's by some sort of walk bit but I dont't know the name!

• Victoria Square, many people skate the steps near the fountain. Look out for the aroma of bacon though.
• Fastlands. Two sets of 7, both with nice landings. Long ledge, quite low to grind/slide or flip off. Also two slopes, one v.steep. Central. Beware of security- they may chase you. Small ledges + big spaces for beginners. Large marble blocks for advanced. Often pro-skaters + local faces there at weekend. e.g. V. Baker, S. Peplow, L'il James, Norman.
• Vertical Skate Park 15 Lancaster Street
• New skatepark opened december 98. Vertical skatepark lancaster street, £3.50 for 3 hours with a bar and food machines plus no bmx gits
• vertical extreme is a new skatepark opening in birmingham in late november it is situated by ideal on corporation street.
• Central Library. Just past the library (go via Fletcher Way) is the Central tv studios. Nice plaza style skatable area, last Sunday around a dozen skaters pm. Birmingham cathedral at night? Conference Centre etc. Good range of authentic street things to drop off, Ollie onto etc. Small bank near exhibition part and hexagonal set of banks down the road. Generally central Birmingham is a happening area. Sutton shop/c: hundreds of banks. Sun, eves. Bust. Moseley Rd b/h scrappers yard, opp fire station (50): natural half-pipe, mid rd. Also banks by fire station. Also 100y towards Balshall Hth: corner w banks, benches etc. 3m further, Alcester Rd near Leisure Centre: 3 massive banks 6-8' high. Sometime fly off. Opposite Ideal (ie under the subway then turn left) is Aston Uni campus. From Ideal you can see a tall (phallic) kind of statue with a low wall and two sides of (3) steps next to it. A few kids skate around it Sundays and the like ok nothing special. Hasn't Wheels Project moved to somewhere like Leicester? In Brum try the Central TV studios. Low wall around a plaza kinda. By the black wax marks on the white wall (2ft high) must have been skated. Bust?
• I mostly skate Harborne. There is some alright places, one place The Vine, with a set of steps. There are some long curbs and quite a few more carparks being constructed. There is this big fat git that will try and chuck you off the Vine, ignore him and he'll crawl back into his hole.
• cantral is a good spot but there is usually there. He seems to like bladers though stick to the area libery were you only get hasseled by the pigs who can't do much
• vertical extreme skatepark lancaster street-bearwood,there is a midi ramp and a concrete bowl section.
• A new B'ham venue for Extreme sports. Ie Snowboarding (Hence I wrote about it here)and an Indoor climbing wall is opening by the Main fire Station just down the road from ideal / Boardwise. Within 1/2 hour of the city centre is Tamworth with the only indoor real now in the country. Top venue for snowboarding on Tuesdays and Saturdays, when they have a DJ and a late night 'boarding session.
