- Sue Lawley and Lennie Henry were both born in Dudley, so they MUST have known where Blackheath was, and comedienne Josie Lawrence was from Old Hill.
- Dexy's Midnight Runners used to rehearse at "La Musique Rouge" run by Bob. The rehearsal facilites were manky - damp, smelled of p*** and the electrics had a life of their own.
Fortunately for health and safety, sadly for music, the road into Sainsburys was built over it.

- Apparently Christine McVee (of Fleetwood Mac) was born and brought up in Rowley Regis. Her dad still teaches violin there, so it seems to follow on.
- Barry Smith lives here. He is a local entertainer who does Bavarian nights as the Frankfurter Shunkleband and cockney nights as the Piston Brokers
- Pat Cowdell used to live behing the Rowley Rag.
- Unfortunatley racist terrorist group Combat 18 are based here.

- Jane Matthews appeared in the News Of the World recently,for alledged er.... goings on with Dwight Yorke.
- No-one has specifically admitted to living in Blackheath, although I believe there is a connection with Roy Wood (him from 'Wizzard' with the very 70s fashion sense).
