I am searching for a couple of old friends. Does anyone know Trever Russon (nickname Twink) or Frankie Rushden, both would be in their fifties now. Both lived in Blackheath but I heard that Frankie had moved away. I have lived in Spain for years now but would like to know how they are getting on.

Hi there, yes it is probably me that you knew. I am 54 so one year younger than you. I was at Powke Lane school and then went on to Brittania Road. My father was named Harry and we lived right opposite Powke Lane school. I don't know too much about the family before my father but I do know that my father had five brothers and 3 sisters.

I recall we used to play togerther in your back yard ! We moved down the lane to number 91 in 1958 when I was 8 years old but as I remember we remained in touch for some time after that.

Some time after we moved out our houses were demolished and the ground laid unused ... more >>

Well hello Steve, yes this is the David Law who lived at 19 Powke Lane. It is really good to hear from you and to know that you are okay. I didn't know that they had demolished the school, it seems that nothing lasts forever. The last time I visited Blackheath was about 8 years ago just before I moved out to Spain. It had changed a lot from what I remember, before moving to Spain I had lived in Ol... more >>
