Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
  • R.A.M.M @ Mud Club in Bognor. Plays all metal, punk, classic rock, etc... http://www.myspace.com/r.a.m.m
  • Metal/ rock night at Mud Club, Bognor for anyone who enjoys real alternative music £3 entry
  • The Unicorn, DJ's
  • SHIEKS SHIEKS SHIEKS!
  • Check out the bottle bar on the seafront.
  • SHIEKS
  • The mud club has some good indie/punk.rock.emo stuff on....though not always. Sheiks on the top of the pier is rubbish, and underground is stupidly ridiculous.
  • sheiks!!! Or whatever it's called now. Was free for the laydeez before 10pm, bargain. 70's and 80's tunes on a friday night, and some classy entertainment when the in-breds would end the evening with a punch-up. Why did i move to London??????
  • Goo- the alternative night offers a friendly atmoshpere and an eclectic mix of hip-hop, indie, punk, electro, ska, rock etc come along every wednesday to hear the goo boys at their best!GOO every wednesday at The Mud Club every other week live bands are playing and from 8-11 guest djs. for more info goonight.com
  • mud club i hear is good and the nightclub on the peir is ok, it also sometimes holds 14-18 yr old nights, but bognor at nught get really rowdy, also most of the pubs have live music
  • Big it up in Bognor No Saturday night is complete without a dose of Vision(Shieks)
  • GOO night has to be about the best night around, used to be at Ocean 11 and is now at Club Vision (formally known as Shieks) they play punk, rock, indie, electro and has a great atmosphere. If you like going to the Paf Tav or the Joint in Brighton then GOO is the night to go to
  • Oceans Eleven is an ok nightclub, visions smells of wet dogs and feet and BO, its pretty sick but once your drunk you can't smell it anymore.
  • Has to be Visions - it's a truly shocking place but there is always one of your drunk mates in there somewhere
  • ground zero
  • Well Shieks is now Visions, and although its cleaner, safer, and bigger, the old atmosphere has gone. Be prepared for cheese all night every night downstairs, but upstairs there's often some more interesting music. They have brought back the vodka and coke for £1 deal though! You can have a pretty decent night there so long as you make sure you're pissed first. And if you want a snog, no probs! Empire is now Oceans Eleven, and its very smart and drug-free, but for those of us who liked the old chilled-out atmosphere, its not really like that any more. Its got the feel of a wine bar, but some decent music and a pretty friendly crowd. Ground Zero has changed hands, but I haven't been there for ages - the main problem is that the ceiling is so low, plus its known as a bit of a teeny boppers and old men kind of place, and the guys on the door used to a. sell pills and b. get a bit too fisty. But like I say, haven't been there for ages so it may well have changed. Pubs-wise, in the summer go to the Hardwick or the Bottle Bar(watch the sun set over the sea), avoid the Alex and the Hatters(unless you're a hardcore wetherspoons fan), and the Beach is good for a quiet drink. You can have a really good night out in Bognor, but do it in summer. xxx
  • Try Ground Zero in Sudley Road, not bad for an evening out.
  • Man i CANNOT believe the people slating Sheiks in these reviews. I'm a born and bred Londoner for 27 years now, and having either attended most of the "big" "proper" venues here, and having played at my fair share too, i have to say that NEVER have i met a place where you can have the sort of night that you can at the one and only Sheiks (or Visions as it has tried to remarket itself as) I have been coming down to Bognor since '97 to visit my mate who moved back there after uni and some of the best nights of my life have been had at this place. People who slate it are not looking at it for what it is - it's a down n dirty pick up joint where (more so back in the day) ANYTHING goes! Yes, we are part of the "older" crowd now (man, i really do feel old looking around at all the teenagers in there now) but that goes with the territory - we have grown up in that place, and now we are top of the rank and file of the filth that navigates down there on the weekend - and if i sound proud at that fact, it's because i damn well am! Back in the day, you literally could get away with some completely over the top otrageous behaviour - since it was reborn on 2 floors as Visions, i was worried it was going to think it was something it was not - i.e. a proper club. Lo and behold, it did go through a phase where it honestly believed it was something special (and i talk about the place as a person rather than a thing because i do love it like it is one of my best friends), and i became concerned that the days of over the top out and out filthdom and degradation were gone - however, it is returning to the bottom of the barrel and it's former glory is being reinstated i'm happy to add! Empire has gone through a renovation and now looks like a London bar/club and it can take the "serious" side of Bognor punters. For the rest of us hillbillies and yahoo's, Sheiks is the shining star that will lead us to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. As everyone says, go there with a few mates, don't go with a bad attitude, and you are almost guaranteed a night like no other! Wonderful!
  • Empire
  • Ground Zero has recently been bought so the perv who used to chat up your girlfriend has gone! High octane dance music (Hed Kandi style) and no pensioners anymore. The owner is a good guy and the staff are great. Decor could do with updating but I hear it's having a re-vamp soon. Great atmosphere and and trouble free dancing and drinking.
  • Visions (used to be called Sheiks) You can have a good laugh if you go with some good mates, and your garenteed to get a snog. Empire, its alright if you like garage music, this place is the loacl drugs den. Ground Zero, not really worth it, its a tiny place, and watch out for the mirrors, you've been warned still its worth it if you've been kicked out the other 2 places.
  • Club Vision or 'V' aka sheiks aka freaks. Go there to pull the trollop or go to empire to do some naughty things. i'd recommend ground zero if you wanna get an std!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! only go to sheiks if myddleton is banned
  • empire,
  • As far as I am concerned, there was only one night club in the Bognor area. it was church Farm Caravan Park in the early 70's. Riverside tried to compete, but it never came close!
  • Thought I better mention Ground Zero,This is has been a club for nearly 40 years under names such as The Blue Max and Toppers, its 200 capacity and attracts yes the older types, yes small but friendly no attitude, cant say that about many places! Its a good night out on Saturdays and Wednesday for the staff of Butlins, nice crowd ,Vision and Empire customers have there place!!
  • If you wanna go out with ya mates and have a laugh Sheiks is the place to go. It's not all that great but when your totaly smashed u can somehow manage to have a good time. Friday night is cheesy night(70's, 80's & chart) While saturday night's a bit better bringing you house, garage and r&b. I can only remember once when Sheiks have had a big name Dj down and that was the hard house Dj Lisa Pin Up, other than that I know of none. Across the road from Sheiks you have a club called Empire this is a totaly different type of club to Sheiks. Empire is more your typical club, and it attracts some top Djs such as, Carl "Tuff Enuff" Brown, Matt "jam" Lamont, Norris "Da Boss" Windross, and Timmi Magic just to name a few. Empire is mainly a garage orientated club although they do have hard house and drum & bass nights. the main downfalls of this club are its size (It's Tiny) and the price of drinks. empire's more for your hard clubber. There's one more name that springs to mind and that's ground Zero, only problem is whenever you here the words Ground Zero you automatically think CRAP! ground Zero is tiny with a capacity of about 100 people. This is a place I would never bother with!
  • You cant really call the clubs in Bognor clubs, can you. The ceiling is so low in Empire, you smack your head everytime you try to dance, but you cant dance as there is no room to coz all the druggies are lying all over the fall. Sheiks is just Sheiks and Ground Zero is full of 50 year olds trying to look like 15 year olds, wearing mini skirts with there varicous veins hanging out!!!!!
  • utterly cheesy clubs in this part of the world, Ministry of Sound they aint, but we dont expect that!!!! Take a good bunch of mates and make the dance floor at Sheiks shake..... just forget you're on a pier..... Check out the cocktail bar at Thursdays, Chi for cute barmen!!
  • DO NOT! I repeat DO NOT! every go to Sheiks, the miniscule club opposite the pier (cant remember name its so shit!) or any other club in Bognor if u want a realy good night out and meet people over 16!! they are so rubbish I have walked out early the only times Ive ever bothered to go there! Thursdays in Chichester is the only reasonable club nearby (nit great but always full and u wont get beaten up or drugged out your brains its a pretty trouble free place) otherwise go to Portsmouth/Southsea sea front or Brighton u cant beat them!!!
  • Bognor bowles club is the place for picking up that mature lady if you really want to be a toy boy.
  • Sheiks is shites,The empire is excellant a proper club for proper clubbers, not like sheiks which is the next step up from a school disco except with bouncers who the girls seem to be impressed with always, god knows why
  • shieks
  • Sheiks is the top place. I love it and I go every weekend to pull grace.
  • Lot's going on here but let me just mention something that happened to me back in 1993, it was at a club near Chichester Called Thursdays, i spent much of my youth in and out of this place with my girlfreind Carol, and mates Will, and Emma and Peter..... let me just say there a special kind of atmostfear at this place, so check it out soon.
  • Sheiks! Sheik it baby on the pier, a rite of passage for many Bognorians!
  • Directly opposite the pier, you'll find the Empire night club. This is a very trendy club with it's 70's leopard skin furnishings but appeals to adult of all ages, not just those lost in the seventies
  • As far as clubs go, Bognor isn't top of the list, but if you are a poor working girl or a student and can't afford a taxi to cooler places there are some spots around to try. Sheiks on the pier used to be crap but it's making a comeback. Thursdays are student night, but anyone can get in for about three quid, and they play a mix of chart and indie music. Best thing of all though is it costs only one pound fifty for a pint or any bottle so you can happily drink your way through the fridge to forget it's a shitty club! The Empire across from Sheiks is more of a hard ravers scene, it will cost you about five quid entry and the drinks are extortionate but if you fancy an E and some heavy hardcore without the trainride back from London I suppose it's about as good a scene as you're gonna find in Bognor! Best night is friday and the last friday of every month is an allnighter. Don't even bother wasting your hard earned(or Knicked) money on Ground Zero it's max capacity is about 100 and half of that is underage girls who can't get in anywhere else, and some creepy paedophiles who go there for the underage girls! Best bet is to go clubbing somewhere else other than Bognor but if you're stuck I guess it's alright... if you go to Sheik's or the Empire make sure you stop in at the chippie next door to the Empire they make the best chicken kebabs on the south coast! And don't forget to tell them Lori sent ya!! Peace out and happy clubbing!
  • Sheiks good for a laugh especially if in a group of lagered up mates, as is Empire. In the old days Gators used to be a laugh too..... Down the road is Thursdays, a cheesy club to say the least but also good for a bit of fun, Tuesday nights being the highlight (70's and 80's)
  • Sheiks is unbeatble when you are so blind drunk you do not even know your name, you may even get a frisk by female security.
  • SHEIKS, the paradise of all club venues, situated on the pier and hardly mentioned in todays current dance scene, who would believe that all the greats started playing in this very club! Carl Cox, Colin Dale, Grooverider, Fabio, to name a few. What was then is now a cheesey, but fun cattle market with pink decor! OK the DJ's are not so famous but the vibe can be felt with everyone pretending they are in some rave mecca. Thankyou SHEIKS you were part of my childhood, and my sexual adolesence, HA! HA! BYE. Who can forget WHITE SUGAR, my first rave and featured all the great house DJ's of the time, Bognor Regis, has drawn such names as, Sister Bliss, Carl Cox, Billy Nasty, Judge Jules, Danny Rampling, and most of the up and coming stars of dance; It was held in the Former Regis Entertainments Centre.R.I.P a sad blip in the towns mistakes, but it was here for raving and it served its purpose well.
  • 'Sheiks' above the pier, come and get thrown down a flight of stairs by paid gorillas on the door. 'The Empire' next to the chippy and the casino arcade on the seafront.
