The Worst Things in Bognor Regis, West Sussex*

The entirely missable and worth mentioning because of it

You can tell us more about Bognor Regis.

The Worst Things
  • Having to go there
  • shieks
  • Lack of things to do
  • TRAMPS .POLISH .RUSSIONS.OLD PEOPLE MOANING ABOUT HOW BAD THINGS ARE.THRERE THE ONES WHO MADE IT THAT WAY.FLATS FLATS FLATS OH AND FLATS
  • EVERYTHING!!!!
  • Butlins - although i would recommend working there for one season if you're about 18-20!!! In-breds.
  • Eddie has now gone !!!!
  • the chavs, the tramps, the drunks, the rowdy people, the old people, the council estates, collyer avenue.
  • I'm originally from Chicago, but I lived in Bognor for four years. I can say without hesitation - or regret - that Bognor is the scummiest, slimiest, dumpiest, diviest, most hideous, heinous S**THOLE I have ever had the extreme misfortune to spend any amount of time in. I've moved around extensively in my life, and lived in many places - some good, others not-so-good - but I can say that Bognor is the one and only place I've resided in which has ABSOLUTELY NO REDEEMING FEATURES OF ANY KIND AT ALL. The town itself is filthy and heart-stoppingly ugly, the weather is terrible, and the natives - dear God. The rudest, most common, charmless, and mentally ill people I've ever come into contact with. I fall to my knees daily and thank God I moved back to Chicago. Bognor...what's it like? Say the first syllable. 'Bog'. Enough said.
  • Rachel murray- more fish than the beach
  • Rachel Murray (Bognor Regis free bike), Phillip Noller (the well known gay boy) and his ginger friend James Hancock (who lives in Emsworth), Hannah Holden, Pagham Prat (James Nue,Hannah's former ex), Butlins and all the scummy people who go there and work there, all the 15 year olds pushing their babies around, Amanda Holben (she thinks she's from London!!), Jackie Hallett and Donna Holmes and I think that is enough said!!
  • The apathatic lethargic Bognor knockers who live here and run it down, closely followed by all the tossers who live in Bognor but claim to live in Aldwick or Bersted - you are vile and should go and live in Chichester with all the other snotty gits.
  • Darren Frost
  • The worst thing about Bognor is the population. I've lived in Bognor for over 20 years now and have watched the geeneral population go from good to scum. I used to work in a few of the pubs the best of which will always be The Crown (n longer there unfortunately). It used to be a great town but if you go in now all you will see is scum!
  • Arun District Council, about time they let Bognor decide its own future
  • Rough pavement
  • Rough pavement
  • IMMENSE ammounts of townies
  • non smackheads
  • Local Politics, always tring to revive the town. (mostly by building flats on the seafront.)Leave Bognor alone if you cant find good things to do it.
  • Living here
  • the worst thing about bognor would have to be the violent townies. ive been jumped twice, my m8 got jumped recently for like his 6th time. it wouldnt be that bad if they wernt cowards and always went around in packs of about 10. but they do, and they always pick on individules.
  • Old people shopping
  • The council for not making Bognor a desirable place to visit, its got a lot going for it if only someone could stup up the money it could be awsome
  • EVRYFIN (xept mcdonalds)
  • this is bognor
  • The A259 traveling through Bognor at 8.30 in the morning! Arun Distric council waisting public money on feasability studies that every one knows will end up as not feasable. Is someone catching the money being thrown around in this way ????
  • Over several years we saw the development of a great seafront free Music festival, Rox, which is reckoned to be one of the best of its kind. This year,2002, saw attempts to expand it met by protests from sea front traders and the proprietor of the Pier on the gorunds that such a festival would damage their trade.Furious arguments, threats of legal action, and even a threat that if the Rox event went ahead, the pier would not be available for the famous Birdman Event - you know, the realisation of that well-known term, Why Don't You Jump Off the End of The .... So, the Rox organisers have pulled the event and seem to be wanting to stage it at that mecca of popular cultural happenings, Fontwell Racecourse. HOWEVER, the Townspeople are all revolting - even a demo, more threats of writs, and enough hot air for a Balloon Fest. In Bognor, we call this The Shoot Yourself in the Foot Syndrome - that funny dance people do round here clutching their shoes. BUT ALL IS NOT LOST - the Town Council has decided to put the money it would have put into Rox into an alternative festival to be held on the dates Rox would have been held - 3/4 August 2002. But this situation is too typical of the Town - it's habit of allowing small minorities to f**k it up for everyone else. If it's not some seafront trader it's some (and only some)residents on the seafront properties who, having moved here, decide that they want to force their concept of a right to peace and quiet on the rest of the Town. Haven't they heard Bognor is a Seaside Town, Kiss Me Quick, Day Trippers (sorry Diurnal Mobile Temporary Frequenters), Butlitz, and, if you can find it, Bognor Rock?
  • avoid the main post office at all costs.i can imagine it is only second to belsom in terms of being treated politely.these guys need a customer care course urgently.
  • -dog turd galore -the lack of multiculturalism -bigots -cinema
  • Refuse collectors....with their curious ethos on returning waste matter to Mother Earth....6 feet away from where they collected it....Oh and dog shit, we must be world leaders....like a scene from 'As good as it gets' (dodge the poo, not the cracks!!!)
  • Dogs-in-mangers, back-biting, small minds. In-fighting. The refusal of the well-off to recognise this area has a lot of poverty and disadvantage (masked by being so close to so many smug, well-off burghers.
  • For a Holiday spot Bognor is a no no (Butlins is ok because all the entertainment is built in) and of course caravaning, but Bognor council wiped out anything going for the place years ago now in favour of all the retired old farts that live here and unfortunatly make up the majority!! They like Quiet, no kids, and most of all no Change! (no different from a huge retiement home realy!!!!!)
  • The people cannot have a laugh if their lives depended on it and everything has to be tres serious. your nickname is Farmer but your all uptight little scrubbers who need to relax!!!
  • The worst thing about Bognor is the fact that it has potential to really be more than it is ,people moan about Southcoast world but they do a damn site more than our council does .
  • Bognor Phillip Noller James Nue (Pagham Prat) Mr Nash the Mayor
  • Bungalows
  • The idiots who come here on holiday.
  • A tendency to in-fight. Apathy. People in nearby parishes who are really part of Bognor, but being bullshitters and oh-so-middle class, write "Aldwick, Near Chichester" as part of their address, when Aldwick is a suburb of Bognor and Chichester is 7 miles off. The Masons. People with hidden agendas who want to turn the Town into retirement flats. Tramline thinking by too many people.
  • I'm from New Mexico, USA, and agree with that guy who said "Bugger Bognor."
  • Building Societies, Charity Shops, and the awful pubs. No pub was ever worth going to for more than a few months at a time.
  • No proper theatre, louts, Butlins(when you have to pay to get in!), The town col
  • winter on your lonsome in Bognor ???? but the cure is.dont be alone some of those old foggies you moan about were young once and can match most of your stories we were all young once
  • Too numerous to mention but probably the worst is Southcoast World (Butlins)
