  • Do you live in Charminster Bournemouth? If so and you are under 30 then your voice needs to be heard. We are looking for interested people to join the board of Charminster Community Project. The 'Charminster Community' is defined as the area between Five Ways & Cemetery Junction & from Wessex Way to Abbott, Heron Court & Grafton Roads. The objectives of the organisation are: 1 To support the Charminster community, its social, business and cultural organisations. 2 To assist members of the community in the development of facilities, including goods & services, of benefit to the Charminster Community, or to provide these directly. 3 To obtain and manage premises for a Community Centre for Charminster. e-mail cllrbrandwood@aol.com Thanks!

  • If you do venture out of the actual town centre, be careful of St Pauls subway, as there are often aggressive beggars lurking. Other places to beware, Boscome Crescent gardens, Boscombe gardens (really dodgy) outside DSS office in Cotlands Rd, Winton Rec at night. Boscombe bus station. And anywhere around Springbourne, Pokesdown, Also the entire area opposite Central train station, towards the left hand side. Basically anything between the station and Boscombe. (druggies, prossies and kerbcrawlers) Good stuff further afield, Charminster has some good bars and restaurants, all pretty well priced. Richmond Arms, although heaving with students, Fiveways pub, at the bottom of Charminster Rd. And if you have transport, a brilliant pub to chill out is the Riverside, at Belle Vue Rd in Southbourne Great outdoor riverside seating - very tranquil, boats, ducks, swans etc. Great food too - but a bit pricey.
  • SAVE THE PEAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  • Down with the eye-sore max www.demolish.me.uk
  • I use to like Bournemouth a lot, Boscombe was not too bad but over last year, despite promises of money and regeneration its getting worse...drunks, junkies, prostitutes. Certainly dont feel safe walking around even in day time.
  • please can you do a " who remembers " section . Like I remember really liking to go and hang out in Norwegian Wood (cafe) in Glenfern Road ...anyone remember it?
  • Bournemouth is quite a nice place but there of course lies the problem. Dorset is far too conservative and un-tolerant of most things. Most people are full of themselves and the town lacked a buzz and cosmopolitan nature to it when I was there. Shopping is rubbish on the whole and it is very towny. Plus its boring-once you have done the beach , chain pubs and leisure stuff there is nothing else. Very little history to the place either. Nice place to go on holiday but not to live all year round. Same applies to Dorset. I miss the place sometimes but not the people or the towns.
  • Bournemouth Railway station!Go there 1 day and count how may blokes there are wearin orange jackets!Watch as they pretend to do work!!Like hammering a brick wall or emptying out their tool boxes! This has been well documented as me and my mates have been using the station nearly everyday for the last 2 years!!
  • When it rains if you're wearing slidey shoes, if you run along outside the obscura and then skid you can go for miles!
  • too many hookers, drug addicts and winos.
  • WELL WHAT MORE CAN I SAY HOW ABOUT A MAD CLUBBERS PAGE OR DJ INFO PAGE OR RECORD PAGE OR DJ AGENCY PAGE OR FREAKY NUTTERS PAGE. WELL REGARDING BOURNEMOUTHS NITELIFE IN GENERAL THE ONLY SITE THATB SEEMS TO REGULARLY PROMOTE THE AREAS ABUNDANT CLUBS,BARS,ENTS,IS PUB2CLUB.COM WE NEED A SERIOUS RADIO ST -CLUB MAG-AND MORE LEANENCY ON OPENING HOURS ECT....
  • London thinks it's top but it's just snobbish. If you live in Bournemouth appreciate it, it is everything to me - and I can't live there coz I work in the smoke.
  • Upwardly mobile buy, sell. exchange mobile phones,as well as sell sim cards and mobile phone covers , car chargers, and other accessories, Nokia,Motorola, Orange,bt cellnet,NEC,panasonic. We also buy sell exchange Personal Computers and undertake computer updates. We would be interested in buying your computer broken or not :-)
  • hate 2 say it- southampton isz much betta- ah well that wasn't so hard
  • Motivation Bournemouth hire items for social events, holidays, and leisure. Such as barbecues, bikes, cameras, garden lighting, gazebos, televisions, tuxedos, dinner suits, hand tools. Phone them on Bournemouth 01202 529777 or 07973 648 657.
  • Sandbanks is in Poole, not Bournemouth
  • There are more pubs and clubs per square mile in Bournemouth centre than in any other town in the UK There are more pubs and clubs in Bournemouth than there are in Central London
  • I like Bournemouth, okay the skating isn't world class, but it's alright. If all you look for in a night is banging house and women who don't wear much then fine that's what Bournemouth has got. If you have taste on the other hand, you may have to be a bit more selective, but there is the possibility of a good night out if you plan in advance.
  • Go and watch AFCBournemouth, cheap, entertaining and better than watching Manc Utd on TV.
  • Best cool paintball sites in the area Dorchester and Matchams - will take all comers!!
  • Bournemouth has two excellent award winning radio stations - 2CR-FM and Classic Gold 828
  • Riverdance here all summer. Phone BIC (01202 456456) for details of all shows over summer. Also in summer, boat trips to I of W and Swanage.
  • I was a student of English in Bournemouth and I am really in love with this town, I would love to find some of the people that I met when I was in there My name is Yaremi and I am from Venezuela, maybe Asrul, Abu, Nick, Paul or somebody remember me, ymanu@sun.cic.usb.ve
  • If you walk up Bournemouth beach towards Southbourne and Christchurch, about half way from Boscombe to Hengistbury Head the cameras stop and you can have mad beach parties with all the foreign birds, six crates of lager and all the Bensons you can smoke.
  • I studied English in Bournemouth from Sep '95 to Dec'95. My name's Eduardo (elohmann@horda.com). If you were there during the same time (at Eurocentre) and were my friend, contact me. Miss you bournemouth!!!
  • As Bournemouth is my home town as well, and I am studying in the good old US of A, I would like to add some comments. I love the place, not all of us birds have "chips on our shoulders",and no I'm not a "pig"! Yeah, there's dodgy places, but I've never been to a town with so much happening, Opera House is great, the beach is fab, people are brilliant, food is good(well, it is England!)and I really miss the place!
  • The uni is fandabbydozy and the Old Firestation is VERY cool :) It is a totally awesome venue, some of the nights are a bit crap, but the monthly comedy nights are the funniest thing ever!!
  • I didn't think I would like Bournemouth, I imagined it like a lot of sea-side towns, but it is probably the nicest one I have seen.
