Skateboarding Spots
- Skateboard Park at the Triangle for kids and young people to enjoy
- Going around the Brackla Way street (from the triangle 2 the crematorium) after u walk past teh sk8 park and a street called End Field or Maes Taclen or something, keep lookn 2 ur left and keep walking. If u don't see anything, all the spots are before u get 2 the skool.
Anyways, if walking in the suggested direction and looking the right way (left), you should come across a set of about 10/11 stairs complete with a handrail.
Walk a bit further (if u didn't already die on the pavement with the first trick) and u will come across a 2nd stair set which is something like a four-flat-seven (not a very long flat) and has no handrail so it's purely there 4 the hammers.
A bit further again (if u have still failed 2 kill urself), and you will come across a five-flat-five stair set (i think it's 5? i havn't looked at it 4 ages) and it has a handrail going down the first 5 steps on the left hand side, then a medium sized flat and a handrail going down the last five stairs on the other side (the right) so if you are quick at manouvering ur board u can go for a small hammer and then lob urself into a grind, or you can hammer the entire set (bye-bye knees), or (if u are totally sick) grind one and then grind the other or grind one and gap across to the other.
PLEASE NOTE: the above three mentioned spots have like, a little patch of pavement about a meter wide where you will roll on to a grass embankment, where your board stops suddenly and ditches you in the middle of a busy road in front of oncoming buses/chavs etc. So if you fail to die jumping down these stairs then its extremely likely that u are gonna die on the main road.
If you survived that onslaught then go down a street called church acre (from the spar direction to the hunters lodge pub) there is a 3 stair opposite the street known as Honysuckle Way. This has one of those fences that stops little kiddies from running onto the road so again u hav limited landing space but u have less chance of dying.
If you check out the street thats at the other end of the footpath between Caer Newydd and Honysuckle Way, you will find the street in which I perfected the limited skills that I posess on a skateboard (if u wanna check me out, I live in Number 44.) You will see a well-used curb upon arriving in the street (been waxed up nicley. Amazing 4 grinds on the trucks ie. 50-50's, smiths etc.) I'm still working on a darkslide but I can't stay on the board after semi-flipping. Has a drain or two that you could gap over. You can use the footpath as an extension. The curbs are always fun for tricking onto and off. There is a nice curving curb as you roll down the pavement (assuming you came out of the footpath) on the right hand side. This hasn't been buttered up, but I would imagine that it would develop grind control (ur going round corners whilst grinding, see) I owe a lot to this street. Doesn't look like a very good skate spot at a first glance but if you've lived right next 2 the footpath for the last 2 years then it's hardly surprising that u can skate it. Also, the driveway of the house on the right hand side of the footpath makes one helluva rollin. Don't let the owners catch u tho or they go skits.
- the skate park in Brackla of course and physique behind the triangle.
- The skatepark where we do all da graf and shit
- you forgot the skate park at highfeilds u idiot, and the subs ways, plus theres more than two benches in brackla you just got to know where to go, and looks like u don't
