You can tell us more about Braintree.

Live Music Venues
  • the (imagintivly named) venue next to the jhon pease peugot dealership.
  • The Venue - get all your mates together and hang around outside - you can hear everything and it's a good laugh
  • Club Revolution(previously The Venue), Lakes Road, Braintree is soon to become a proper night club, with Live local bands fortnightly and cheap entry. Lookout progress at clubrevolution.piczo.com
  • the Venue is apprently getitng bigger??! batle of the bands has been going on there for a lil while! the Streets are playing Towerlands in march 2005 and for bigish bands try colchester, the twist has gd music
  • Now Flacks is gone there is just the occasional pub gig.
  • Small local bands play at The Venue, a new venue and really cheap to get in. Colchester is the nearest place where you'll find bigger bands.
  • Flacks (RIP)
  • Toweralnds is the place where most bands play in Braintree BLUE were there last year!!!!
  • Just outside Braintree, on the way to Chelmsford is Great Leighs, Saint Anne's Castle has live music EVERY WEEKEND, and an acoustic Open Mic' night on the first Tuesday of the month.... Well worth a look!!!! Check out our gig guide on our website www.pickapub.co.uk/stannescastle.htm
  • whoevers idea it was to turn flacks into a jumped up wannabe "nite"club needs a good kicking.......ok, so maybe it was a hole, but where else could you get a late drink,a half decent live band, and a s**g at the end of the night if you were lucky all for £3
  • Flacks used to be good.
  • Flacks was the only real one, now it's converted to a 'trendy' club... You can't stop progress....
  • The civic centre or the school is the most entertainment available.
  • none, unless you count the garages that most of braintrees band practise in!!1 dont you get the impression that this place really sucks
  • The Towerlands complex has be known to hold a few decent gigs in recent years, such as Ocean Colour Scene, but I haven't heard too much from there recently.
  • flacks usedto be quite good, used to see some good blues there hogseye, marques brothers e.t.c but the last time i was there a buch of no neck gary boys who had probally just had there first joint and there second beer , were trying to have a go at the bouncers and anyone else that was interested, you often see this kind of behaviour in braintree, possibly in breeding is to blame.
  • there towerlands which may have something once in a blue moon other than that that theres a train 2 miniutes to the hour t london if you want to see anything regularly
