Trying find the whereabouts or any information on Pat (nee) Evans. Pat's family home was in Albert St. Kidderminster - she lived there during the late 1950's and early 1960's.
Pat was the only child of Bill and Mary (nee Gwilliam). She was a ladies hairdresser by occupation and during early 1960's worked in an upstairs Salon at the junction of Blackwell and Coventry St's. Kidderminster.
Pat did marry, however her married name is not known. Currently, she would be approx. 62 years old.
Any information, however small would be most welcome

Mrs Rothwell,
In reply to your message requesting information about your great grandparents, Edwin & Kate Wilkes Slatter (nee Jones). I have been tracing part of my family history for the last few years. My 'great great' grandmother was Kate's sister, Annie Roberts (nee Jones). She latterly lived at Derby. My grandmother clearly remembers visiting Bredon from Derbyshire as a young girl in the 1930s and has fond recollections of an "aunty Kate Slatter". I'd be interested in any information about Kate Slatter and her family to fill the gaps in my research, if you would like to get in touch. ... more >>

Hi Fiona,
I'm pretty useless with computers, I have to admit! I'm attempting to get in touch by mailing my message to help@knowhere.co.uk, as the page tells me that if I mail to this address it will pass my message on. I did send a message this way a few months ago, and again just after your most recent reply, though I am presuming you have not received these. Any suggestions?? I'm very interested in sharing the information. My grandmother has fond memories of "aunty Kate" at Bredon, and I have a lot of information, as well as photographs, about Kate's sister, Annie Roberts. If you know what i'm doing wrong, then please let me know - i'm fairly new to the Internet!

Hello all!
Can you help? I am trying to arrange a poem on as many Cities, Towns and Villages, in the U K as I can.
Could anyone supply me with any local information, which hopefully, everyone in your City, Town or Village could immediately relate to? “As being home”
Perhaps a local dance hall or cinema no longer there, a famous street where all the boys and girls would meet.
A famous person past or present, not necessarily famous outside your Town but everyone knew of him or her.
Local pubs, clubs meeting places, a street name as local place you used to play as a child, I think you get the idea.
If you wish to submit your own poem I would be delighted to receive the finished article.
I would love to pay for your submissions, however I cannot. If I ever manage to get these published in any form, all you will receive is my sincere thanks and the knowledge that you have contributed to a historical record.
I can promise is that I will read every single one.
Best regards ... more >>
