The Worst Things in Brentford, Middlesex*

The entirely missable and worth mentioning because of it

You can tell us more about Brentford.

The Worst Things
  • The High Street
  • idiots like you saying,Brentford is still 95% full of pyschos', takes one to know one, you ignorant little person, lets hope you do not come across one should you ever visit the area.
  • looking at PC World and thinking of the wonderful Firestone building pulled down over a weekend before the preservation order kicked in (Circa 1979) to make room for all those ghastly concrete and mirrored glass boxes.
  • The whole place.
  • Kew Bridge (that slum at the end of Brentford, with boarded up shops and a derlict station) is to be come a conservation area. Oh! How we laughed!!!Thankfully the Tower Blocks in Green Dragon Lane are just outside the zone.
  • It has been decided that Brentford will be the next place for rich people to live - hence the building of large amounts of cardboard walled flats (they take about 2 weeks to put up)with nautical names and a start price of £250,000 for a one bedroom studio (just for a view of the M4 and green dragon estate). However what these innocent newcomers do not realise yet is that Brentford is still 95% full of pyschos who will be rubbing their hands with glee at the juicy prospect of unlimited help yourself laptops, mobile phones and little BMW convertibles. Myself included.
  • Whatever happened to Brentford Nylons - was all the nylon melted down and made into the armchairs & setees you see in Godards the furniture emporium - why does all the furniture in the window look like it was made in the early 1970's The smelly old canal full of rats - I went fishing in it and an armchair floated past (without anyone in it sadly- not even a rat)
  • The river when there is no water Try hard yuppies who are moving in and putting the house prices up because they cannot afford to live in Chiswick provincial football supporters from outside the M25 every other week with their strange accents and old fashioned clothes
