• Anybody Remember Arnolds Gift Centre (Where Bairstow's is now)? A right dodgy shop selling cheap and nasty goods. Staff were very unpleasant and rude and would not give reciepts as the stuff was normally faulty. I had to take my dad in there when I was small as they couldn't remember selling me a radio that didn't work less than an hour after I bought it! We got our revenge though when, out of school oneafternoon, we tipped over a huge box off footballs that spilled out into the High Street and watched the bloke from the shop panic as he had to run to try and get them back!
• There's a Game on the high street I guess?
• Theres a good one in the precinct - you can trade in second hand games there and get new or old ones too. The precinct is opposite M&S.
• i remember Arnolds .. and the miserable git who owned it. Have many happy memories of the 70's he didn't like us going in and playing on the Mastermazes much
• Does anybody remember Arnolds???? God wasnt that man a miserable git who owned it!!! He was like the Punch & Judy man off of Hi-de-Hi.
