• Big Issue Lady outside Marks. Always calls you darling! Ron "Ain't it Cold" from Warley Hospital.. lovely and friendly bloke who always shakes your hand... last saw him a couple of years back. Haven't seen Smiler who used to direct the traffic at Wilsons Corner in the 70's or Donald for years though and would have thought that they have passed on by now. There were also 2 other Warley Residents known as the Dribble Brothers (for obvious reasons) who have also sadly disappeared.
• Don the tramp, the singing shambles, last seen outside Brentwood station trying to hold up his trousers whilst shuffling, singing and waving a copy of Metro at the same time. Haven't seen the dear ol' fella since though and his Christmas Carol renditions were sadly missed this year.
• Don the tramp...He's not around anymore because we've ate him..a bit rubbery but ok
• Usually found competing with the Big Issue man outsite Marks and Spencers.Nadine
• No tramps in Brentwood apart from DON the tramp. legend. Tramps and buskers know they wont get any money of us stingy bastards.
• Every friday night when the pubs close the harmonious hum of footie anthems can be heard echo throughout the streets of Brennie!!!!
• i think brentwood is a tad too snobby for this lot. we had a local tramp though - Don. I havent seen him for years though.
• If I were to think of memorable characters it would have to be Donald (the tramp) I went to school for 13 years in Brentwood and I would always see him singing, as he carried his little radio. It was known for him to have a cashpoint card and there was a rumour he was homeless because his wife had left him, threw him out etc (very sad to hear at the age of 8)
• There was a tramp sitting outside Shenny Library the other week. He amused himself by buying booze at 9am from M&W (whatever its called) and getting pissed then throwing the bottles around. After that he would have a kip. Was last seen being carried away in an ambulance - never to be seen again!!!
• Nooooooooo, go to Chelmsford for that! We get the big issue people and occasional other entertainment aaround festive times.

• Don Webley is alive and well and still signing - At Christmas he had a pair of antlers and was singing Christmas Carols:- Don Webley is the most amusing thing about Brentwood

• Street entertainment unfortunately consists of Don the tramp! Famous throughout the whole of Brentwood - and beyond! Has been spotted as far away as Liverpool Street.
