The Stuff We Can't Fit In Somewhere Else
  • get rid of grungers and goths
  • I attended Brentwood School .Jimmy Hough was the headmaster then .I left in 1949 . Old Jimmy had been headmaster since before anybody else could remember . I have noticed that quite a few emminent people have emerged since I was there .Two things would have caused Jimmy to explode ,one ,the fact that girls are now admitted and two that the place had anything to do with Jack Straw ! Regards , George Yallop www.yallop.net
  • Oh the Keys Hall discos!! Makes me go all misty eyed for the late 80's! Some of my favourite memories! Going out clubbing in your 20's, even to Ibiza could never match up to the excitement of the Keys Hall Disco! What you were going to wear .. and most importantly WHO was going to be there! And there was also Maxwells on a Tuesday night for the under 18's! Another night preceeded by breathless anticipation!!
  • Hutton boys is str8
  • Can we please start a campaign to abolish the tacky coloured lights down the High Street at Christmas. Shenfield gets it right with their pretty white efforts. Brentwood is supposed to be a classy place. It's just embarrassing during the festive season.
  • What about a Taxi drivers forum? A place where local taxi drivers can tell accounts of their experiences with certain people such as : regulars, polite, funny, moaners, drunks, offensive, abusive, and runners etc. It could be quite amusing!! Also local residents could leave comments about their (alternative public transport) ways of getting around town and their complaints.

  • Don't eat the food from the kebab van outside sams, i saw them cook a rat once!!!!!!!!
  • Don't ever move here, we're hoping the population will die out and the town will be a ghost town
  • Function Room for the best parties. Got to be The White Hart. Just decorated by the new owners, Lynne & Pete. Its the cheapest around and holds 190 people!!!
  • Brentwood's great for leisure activities(skiing, karting, loadsa golf) or if you can get into pubs and clubs(walk up the high street) but otherwise I suggest going down warley hill gettin' on the train and going elsewhere. If you like a bit of cycling(ramps and stuff) go to warley, there's a road next to brentwood park with forest either side, the one on the left has loadsa hills and stuff, loadsa bikers too
  • Why has Brentwood got more cycle paths or buses to encourage use of other modes of transport and a more imaginative set of bus routes, I can't even get to nearby Hornchurch or Upminster by public transport directly! A pedestrianised high street like in Romford, Ilford and Chelmsford!
  • Need to do something about the lack of facilities for teenagers in Brentwood. They're too young to get in pubs, but too old for youthclubs, etc. Need to have more organised events for them. We used to have the Keys Hall and Stondon Massey discos and they were excellent. They were always supervised and no booze was sold but it kept us all of the streets once every 2 weeks and gave you somewhere to meet up with your mates without causing people hassle.
  • PLaces to avoid the pre-pubescents - OUTSIDE MCDONALDS!!! Actually, standing outside anywhere seems to appeak to them.......
  • Do they still show that Gidea Park Typewriters at the cinema ??? I don't know, I left in 1989, but it had done at least 20 years service by then.
  • guffaw comedy club - every 2nd wednesday at "the hermit" in shenfield road. its brilliant!
  • I HATE JACOB SCHORR! COME ON THEN JACOB..........WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO ABOUT THAT THEN???!!!
  • The teen boys r gorgeous!!!
  • CHURCHES Brentwood Baptist Church - Kings Road. Services 10.30am and 6.30pm. All welcome
  • There's a really good local video shop called "The Penny Farthing" along Chelmsford Road. It just goes to show that you don't need a large, unpersonalised video shop to do the business!
  • If your a gothic, or a biker, or punk (basically anything but a trendy) please come to the castle.... We will claim it back!
