The Worst Things in Brentwood, Essex*
The entirely missable and worth mentioning because of it
You can tell us more about Brentwood.
The Worst Things
- bloody gangs of Teenagers
- GRUNGERS ND GOTHS
- recent influx of non purists
- quiet n buses r neva on time
- Brentwood is becoming too built-up, with every available postage stamp sized piece of land built on and ruined. Great shame, as it's lost it's rural feel and is beginning to look like an inner-city ghetto in some places!
- When the trains don't work, chapel high shopping centre
- police
- ez 2 get nicked
- The house prices are too high for first-time buyers.
- Sams- eghh why was that place created?
- Brentwood
- Woodlands avenue and the East Ham Estate. Blokes in puffer jackets. Hi-tec silver shadows. Sainsburys, where i worked for two years and gained nothing. The stench of Slazenger sport after shave. Budgens in Dodd
- Sams - nuff said!
- Unlike many guides to places here are the worst points of Brentwood.
1) Being the site for the famous Warley Hospital.. we have a few nutters roaming our streets. Must stress that they are all harmless, unless u are easily offended by the smell of urine.
2) Unfortunatly like any town we have had the typical baseball wearing loudmouth yobbo that would sooner hit you than look at you. However sporadic acts of violence only occur when the pitiful yobs from Harold Wood, Hornchurch and Harold hill Visit Brentwood when there is nothing left to smash up or fight with in thier areas (again very rare).
- it is soooooooo boring. the trains and buses are all crap.
- everyone seems to know everyone
- No buses after 6pm on most routes in Brentwood, expensive fares compared to Havering! Removal of former bus routes ie, 551 to Walthamstow, also buses that use to run from Brentwood into Aldgate and parts of the West End. No fast trains at Brentwood station, no male toilets at the station or any such facility on the train (poor when it is a 40 minute journey). No direct trains from Brentwood to Chelmsford, Southend or Colchester. Train fares are too high, given that nearby Harold Wood only charges £4.70 for a travelcard, while Brentwood levies over £8 for the extra 5 minutes taken or £600 for a year!
- Snobby people, drunken Essex boys that have to tell you how much they earn and what car they drive (it makes them a nice person), sponging girls, label fetishes, NOTHING for teenagers to do, every other car being a 4-wheel drive with one kid in it.
- All the bloody trendies!
- The Trendies- they are so conservative, I didn't realise I was rebelling against my peers.
- Not a bad place to grow up but after you've been away for a bit (I've lived in Brentwood my whole life but am now at university) it seems really dull in comparison. Buses are really expensive
- EVERYTHING ( Especially Jacob Schorr!)
- The price of drinking.
The children who hang around on a Friday night being obnoxious - Oh well, i guess I was there once
- Sams
- Fights over the women
- Lack of shops
- Everybody comes out when it rains, and noone wants to come out in the summer 'cos: "IT'S TOO HOT!"
- Small town mentality! Council complain about youths roaming the street, but there's little to do. Even Sams had to battle to get a very restrictive licence. I guess they've been old for so long they've forgotten what the young do..... (when I was a young.... neeeer!) Always a long wait for Taxi's at pub closing time (haven't they noticed the extra demand yet!)
- Nothing to do, especially for the 13-16 age range. British Rail (Railtrack, whatever) need to put on more late trains. If you want to go to a club or anything you have to go to London, Romford, Chelmsford or Southend, which is fine getting there on the train, but you can't get home again.
- conservative but changing
