Favourite Building in Bridgend, Bridgend*

Art deco, contemporary, futuristic, tall, short...

You can tell us more about Bridgend.

Favourite Building
  • Too crap in bridgend
  • Has to be Ogmore Castle, pity about Dunraven Place and the Roman pillars.
  • The old Town Hall, but it has long gone, replaced by a red brick post office.
  • The Wyndham Arms
  • Old Cinema, now a derelict bingo house, sad really
  • Tuskers. By far. It's a church, converted into a nightclub/pub! How much does that rule? The blasphemy is immense, sitting in the pews on a Sunday, drinking a pint, swearing, and discussing the finer points of the female anatomy, there ain't nothing better!
  • Marijuana mansion
  • BRYNTEG'S SCIENCE BLOCK
  • The new bus station is ok, i actually like it. alot of people probably don't though.
  • um....anywhere as long as it aint in bridgend
  • Ewenny Priory. A very mellow old church, you come for the atmosphere and stay for the brass rubbings. No seriously some of the heritage around the area is very good indeed.
  • the rhiw
  • The former Embassy Cinema
  • The scarred remains of Astons
  • THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IN EWENNY ROAD CAUSE ANYBODY CAN GO THERE.
  • Anything not in Bridgend
  • The Embassy (before its knocked down thanks to Jeff Jones and his croneys)
  • bridgend post office. no wait..... the rec
  • revamped courthouse and Nolton Church
  • Mc ArthurGlen designer outlet
  • rhiw
  • Hermon Church
  • St Illtyds church on newcastle hill, it is an institution
  • Sarn Services when you drive away.
  • wilkinsons....lol...coz i work there
  • Brynteg Science Block,
  • Sax- Must have the worlds best constructed Dj box not to collapse under that fat cun*s weight (I`d be shouting ole ole ole oleif that would happen, the most annoying pric* ibn the world)!
  • suppose its got 2 b sax
  • It has to be Upper School in Brynteg. It so threatening when it's lit up at night. It makes me feel quite proud to go to such an intimidating school.
  • Simon Hegarty's conversion of the Old Police Station - I must say I was v.proud to have worked on it for him, let his talent live on forever - Clem
  • The statue of Ploidius Maximus. Still standing proud after all these years.
  • Maccy D's is da best
  • www.skin-n-ink.com is the place to go for tattoos and piercings in Wales, especially Bridgend as it's the only one IN Bridgend. Go and have some body art done and visit the web site... Please, this is my no-cost marketing strategy for the Web site... Have a quick look...
  • all of sarn estate!!!!!!1 and ears's house!!!!!!!!!
  • The monument
  • BRYNTEG SCHOOL
  • My fav building has gotta be Mccy D's in bridgend town centre!!For obvious reasons!!
  • The Council Offices and the Rhiw Arcade.
  • Brynteg school
  • all the schools with nice girls. brynteg, archbishop and brintirion!!!
  • brynteg school memories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • rhiw
  • the welcome to town before they painted the inside coral pink. It used to have a snooker table in the ceiling
  • The Church in Pont-yr-hyl is wonderful, not only for its looks on the outside but for the absolute beauty of the inhabitants in it (particularly the handsome fella who goes to Archbishop)
  • Nolton Church - any place of worship that features Mickey Mouse in the stained glass windows gets my vote (stand at the dual carriageway end at sunset - look up at top left part of right hand window - bostin').
  • The Wyndham Arms... it so nearly perished! Thank the Lord it was spared.
  • Well, it ain't really a building, as such, but the old stoney bog near the Railway station is a classic.
  • THE SCHOOL I WENT TO IN BETTWS, IT BURNED DOWN NOT LONG AFTER I LEFT THERE AND NOW ITS REBUILD, IT'S QUITE NICE NOW HONEST
  • The odeon of course
  • The Court House, Bridgend (formally the Old Police Station) beautifully renovated by the brilliant architect, Simon Hegarty.
  • The old police station turned pub
  • BP garage - Breakfast rolls for all, and that seedy massage parlour by Riversdale surgery.
  • Palais De dance... damn shame Town Hall.. who the bloody hell knocked it down??? plain looney
  • The old police station.... now the court house pub
  • The Old Courthouse, recently renovated and looking for Office tenants. An attractive glass/steel meets Victorian brickwork landmark.
  • The Town Hall, built in the 1980s back to front (I kid you not) A more serious answer - Coity Castle (entrance free)
  • The old Police headquarters... beautiful piece of architecture.
  • Ogmore castle and "The Three Golden Cups" pub in Southerndown.
  • * My fave building has to be my school!...*shrug*....Brynteg School!!!!!!!!
