  • There is live music 9pm every Saturday night at the Star Inn, Ewenny Road, Wick. Different artists every week, from acoustic performers to live bands, if you are looking for a venue give the owners a call! 01656 890519
  • Blaengarw Workmens Hall usually have a band night last friday of each month
  • www.saphirebridgend.co.uk has regular live bands and has a fun and friendly atmosphere.
  • Porthcawl, YMCA Bridgend and the old Kee club in Bridgend, used to be near Tesco's and the old bus station.
  • The rec deffinately,great local gigs and kicks ass wen mainstreamers come p.s the lostprophets were great there
  • The Bridgend Recreation Centre have gigs on every so often. The Toll House on Thursday Nights. The PS Bar on Wednesday Nights. Tuskers also has live bands a few times a week. There are some great local bands around Bridgend, so some of these venues are well worth a look.
  • Oneils has got to be the best music venue old school classic rock and a good pint also the pelican just outside of bridgend

  • Jaggers on a wednesday - 6th form bands with very very fresh faced customers...
  • Jaggers, one of the better nightclubs in town has gigs sometimes, I remember being really pissed cos I missed a Less Than Jake gig there. The REC had Funeral For A Friend, but I don't like them so didn't care.
  • The Tollhouse - live bands every thursday whatever the weather! NO KIDS strictly over 18 venue - no matter what other people say!!
  • Black-River Arts put on monthly gigs at the Blaengarw Workmens Hall and also run a Jam-Night at the Charter Country Club in Blaengarw on the last Thursday of every month! In addition to this they offer a cheap and cheerful demo-recording service for local bands!
  • The Rec, Jaggers, Carieys, PS . Not much good shit in Bridgend (get on a train to Cardiff)
  • Jaggers, bands midweek, join years 9 to 11 headbanging to thier mates band.
  • CODYS FRIDAY NIGHT DJ MATT ROCKS THE PLACE, AWESOME!
  • The Toll house, has decent local and international bands.
  • The Tollhouse on Derwen Road THIS PUB IS NOT CALLED JAGGERS YOU THICKHEADS!! Some of the best live music from local guys to worldwide acts and everything from punk to emo and death thrash metal (whatever the hell that is!) Loads of big names, Lost Prophets played there loads and more recently Funeral for a Friend. And really cheap to get in too.
  • Good scene at Cardiff, but Bristol is really where it's at.
  • Jaggers can be alright on a Thursday, O'Neills some nights

  • The litten tree , although at the moment there is some w**ker from bridge f.m there on a sturday night . for a good while there was another guy who used to do The Shoes get him back his tunes were great and always got the place jumping and even played requests unlike half the other places in town ,Think his name was Ant .

  • The Tollhouse (bar formely known as jaggers) Fantastic punk and new metal every Thursday - NO kids.
  • Well, First off there's the PS bar, Jam night - Wednesdays - Great if u like "paranoid by Black Sabbath" and band night on Fridays. Good venue. you got Jaggers, thursday night have bands - this is probably the best place, good DJs! otherwise you got the football club, bit of a dive, but good laugh if u like 12 year olds.

  • penybont- a class act of a pub, and PS is good for live music, although free for all night attracts the strange population out of their hideouts

  • Bridgend Rec has hosted many a memorable gig from The utterly shite Spurious And the margingly better Jeff Killed John (The Original singer was better)
  • JAGGERS!!!!!! every thursday night...punk/metal bands...again lots of rah guys attend
  • Nothing big, but the TOll HOUSE has live local bands on most Thursday nites-some real good talent can be found here. Even had 'Nerf Herder' (Buffy Theme) play here.

  • nil points! cody's on a sunday's usually got a shit band on..try the rec or coychurch rd footy club. watch out for iolo edger down the macworth in laleston from time to time...bridgend's answer to bob dylan-but a better class!

  • Bridgend Football Club, incredibly disgusting but allow bands to play on a regular basis. Bridgend Recreation Centre.

  • Cody's and Jumping Jacks had a fine band play in them once.
  • Cody's has regular live music. Polar Bears are top value if you can catch them there. I like my rockers rotund.......
  • Your having a laugh as i said nobody can play an instrument of any description Oh i tell a lie i once heared Darren Thomas whistle, but there's a shame he's lost his teeth now
  • As a musician I can honestly say that Bridgend has a truly amazing potential as a centre for live music, a potential which is sadly not being recognised.

  • The Rec has a few well known acts now and again ( The Dammed , Wishbone Ash )
