I am researching the Marsh family, who moved from the Dudley area to Birmingham in around 1830. They lived in the All Saints/Ladywood areas. They were mostly glass cutters.

    Hi my maiden name was Marsh and my father came from Brierly Hill. His name was George Robinson Marsh and his father ran a public house, I think the Blue Boar. I am not sure. He spent his early years in an orphanage as when his mother remarried a Mr. Edwards and they had a child call Alec, they could not afford both children. Trying find the whereabouts or any information on Pat (nee) Evans. Pat's family home was in Albert St. Kidderminster - she lived there during the late 1950's and early 1960's. Pat was the only child of Bill and Mary (nee Gwilliam).

does anyone have any old photos of marsh and baxter of brierley hill i started work there in 1957 and also there were 2 cottages down talbots lane mount pleasent they are demolished now the last family to live in them was the weavers

    sorry no photos but thought you might know my father Ray Leake who worked for marsh and baxters since 1958 until about 1973 when he retired. He was foreman in charge of a group of men whose job it was to keep all of the companies buildings in good repair, so moved around most of their shops.     When Marsh and Baxters started to be knocked down, I took a series of approximatly 8 photo's when i worked with my father at Lane's Shoes Shop (46 High Street Brierley Hill).
    As parts of the buildings dissapeared, i took another photo from the same position each time. These were displayed inside Ron Lane's shop window.(Old 'Vic Potter' had the stationary shop next door and 'Radio Rentals' the oth... more >>

Hi, Does anyone have a picture of the Brierley Hill War Memorial. My uncle William Longmore (the same name as my own) is mentioned on it. The family lived at 16 Fens Crescent in the town. I'm looking for any information regarding an Anne Hall who married a William Joseph Woodward.I know who their descendants are, looking for the ancestors.They lived in Brierley Hill from approx 1901, (Anne died in 1911)until mid 1950's.I think they lived near the "Delph"

I attended the above college from 72-75 and remember several students from the West Midlands area including Janice Cox from Brierley Hill, Andy Brown from Dudley and others from that area.I left and came to Australia in the early '80's but would like to hear from anybody that remembers the old college days.
