Cheap Food
- Great Wall chinese restaurant and takeaway is goo with a Sunday Meal Deal. Check out the New Golden Sea as well for a Chinese gastronomic competitor.
Check out the Turkish Delight kebab shop in town for a great sheesh and chicken mixed kebab. Good pizza too
- Brighouse is full of cheap & Delicious Fish and chip restarants.
- The Old Mill Wakefield Road Brighouse. Recently re-developed into a traditional pub with wooden floors, oak beams, and cask ale. Extensive menu, food served 11am- 10pm
- Hassans is the best curry shop!
- Brooks restaurant on Bradford Road is reputedly quite good. and there is a new Italian restaurant next to the Kingsway bingo hall which looks OK. Not really any other sophisticated spots. Quite a few take aways in town Mr Pizza is good and has been on Bethel street for about 20 years. Pizza Napolina round the back of Wetherspoons is alright as well. Plenty of chip shops, Castle ave chip shop in Rastrick being the best, dolphin, Golden Hind etc are Ok but not in the same league as the lightly battered heaven that is Castle ave Chippy. A few chineses as well, the Dor Bo (formerly the Camy) at top 'o' town is ok.
- Dolphin Fisheries (won an award couple of years back), Golden Hind chippy (famous for it's schol kids specials), La Romantica (very nice Italian restaurant)
- Mister Pizza on Bethal street, ellies also bethel street and dolphin fisheries.
