- Brighouse Sports Club is only the beginning of a long list
- Brighouse Traditional Karate Club. Monday's from 6.45pm till 9pm at the Small Gymnasium at Brighouse High School, Finkill Street. Anyone can go whether you have done Karate before or not. Call John Lowe on 07970198880 For more details or if you have any questions.
- Holiday inn have a swimming pool
- Brighouse Rangers now play at the new complex @ Russell Way Brighouse open age,juniors and ladies. Also Cricket open age & juniors, Football open age sunday morning league and crown green bowling all ages
- Brighouse Town AFC are in the West Riding County Premier league and given the size of Briggus should really be playing in a higher standard of league, but are held back at the moment by lack of ground facilities. Local sunday League has 2 divisions and about 20 teams although appears to be dwindling in number these days, people just too lazy to get up and play i think. Quite a few cricket clubs of varying standard. Old Brodleians RUFC run quite a number of teams and are popular and Brighouse Rangers RLFC (one of the founder members of the Rugby Football league) play at Wellholme park. Swimming pool is falling to bits but Brighouse replacement promised years ago by Calderdale council but disappointingly for the town and Brighouse Swimming Club has yet failed to materialise.
Plenty of facilities at the two big schools, Rastrick and Brighouse Highs for hiring indoor/outdoor pitches for five-a-side hockey etc.
