- I am quite sure that the famous HOLLYWOOD ACTOR CAREY GRANT lived by st george's park near st ambrose when he was little, Before going to America, perhaps someone could comfirm this.
- re Reg Gregory - yes but Church Road has more political significance than this - Tony Benns office was here, the same office as Stafford XCripps used. And the ILP had an office at what is now one of the few remaining old style hardware shops in Bristol.
Plus - what a place for eccentrics - the woman who wears a wedding dress EVERYWHERE is often seen in Church Road - Mrs Effer (think about it) - the takeaway that closes at lunchtime because "it gets to busy"
- Reg Gregory is a local resident who is mentioned in Tony Benn's autobiography. A stalwart of the Socialist movement in Bristol.
