- Just had to comment on the fact that 'Steve' Wynne who was at my school thinks that working as a producer on some daft kids tv programme makes him a celebrity. I don't think so mate, but it's nice to see that some things never change.
- Steve Wynne : who works as one of the producers on ITV's Saturday morning show SMTV/cd:uk
- I've heard rumours that Norman Cook (formerly of the Housemartins and now of HUGE Fatboy Slim fame) used to live in Bromborough. And local up-and-coming band TeenBeat have a couple of members who live just by the Merebrook.
- Quite a few footballers live in the near vicinity - Liverpool, Everton and Tranmere
- Jason Macateer was round at my house three weeks ago, i go drinking with him sometimes. Gary Stevens (ex-Tranmere defense) lives or lived two minutes around the corner from me. The writer of Brookside lives in Eastham
- Stan Boardman lives in Willaston still. Norman Cook (ex-Housemartins and Beats International bloke) is from Bromborough - Andy McCluskey from OMD is from these parts, Harold Wilson was our first sixth former at my old school Wirral Grammar for Boys - and Kate & Ted Robbins went to Wirral Grammar too. I think John Peel is from the Wirral (near enough anyway) and the bloke from Grandstand (not Des Lynam or Jimmy Hill) is from the Wirral too.
