You can tell us more about Bromborough.

Cheap Food
  • Enjoy a fine fayre of Sunday Lunches at The OC Club, Bridle Road, Bromborough, without it making a hole in your pocket.
  • The golden sunrise in the early 90's, but dont ask Gary for a portion of 'chimps'
  • The Brom is 2 for 8£ in the week and its good quality food Mc Donalds is good too
  • roberto does a great tea time special £15 for 2
  • kams chippy, dominoes pizza, the wirral tandoori. the brom does nice food at a good price.
  • Kams Chippy. Some lovely food at preety low prices.
  • Kams Chippy. Some lovely food at preety low prices.
  • Kams Chippy. Some lovely food at preety low prices.
  • The Wirral Tandoori - a great Indian that stays open late serving ale with your meal after the pub. That's a big deal in Bromborough.
  • Frankie and Benny's (or whoever they are - I forget) has some excellent Italian food, they play great chilled out Ella Fitzgerald stuff and serve the biggest fish-bowl sized glasses of wine I've seen. The deserts are devine too. Take a girl there, boys.
  • romagnas in the precinct does the most gorgeous spaghetti bolognese and the wirral tandoori was amazing till it got took over cos now its not as nice
  • Just for information, the Golden Sunrise has been taken over and unfortunately Gary no longer works there!
  • Best curry on the Wirral-Ruhi Balti House...mmmmmm
  • Robertos is still ace. Wirral tandoori has now reopened, better than the kings balti
  • The Oriental Delight in Bebington is the place to 'take the wife'.
  • The chippy in Bromborough used to do really good chips.
  • King Wah Chinese and Kings Balti Indian are great. The Dibbinsdale is quiet and suitable for families.
  • the romagna restaurant, the best!!!!!
  • The Swallow House do great Sweet and Sour chicken.
  • Roberto's in the precinct (Really called Ristorante Romagna - 0151 346 1442)is absolutely FANTASTIC! Small town prices for international cuisine! Excellent value for money, friendly atmosphere, and did I say how good the 'Chicken Roberto" is?
  • The Pizza shop (2 for the price of 1)just down from the Merebrook is my favourite food shop and the PIZZA GIRL who serves behind the counter is my favourite beauty spot. Also, the patisserie serving tea and toast to any who want it; just a bit further down from the pizza shop. Some lovely home made jam too. jam, jam, jam, jam.
  • Gary Still works at the Golden Sunrise and still gives big portions to his mates - Ask him for a Beef Tomato and watch his face light up. - he can name any menu item by number which leads to some interesting pub games. The Wirral Tandoori seems still to be the best place for a curry - but can be full of Post-pub drunks (like ourselves) at the Weekend.
  • The Swallo house is still good (try anything from the special range). A bit pricier than some (£5 a meal) but very tasty!
  • I worked at the Louisiana Exchange Bar and Grill (recently changed the name from Bar Diner) where i was a barman for three years. A new menu has been released lately with good reductions in the prices, and does a good meal deal (2 meals for £6)telephone 0151 343 1999
  • The best Italian food I have ever tasted (and I've lived and worked in Rome for the last two years) is at Roberto's in the Precinct. He also has a delicatessen next door which is excellent too. Brilliant cannelloni & superb lasagna form the deli.
  • Other good places to eat? There's a good Chinese/Fish and Chip Shop on the New Chester Road by the Telegraph service station called the Swallow House - you get loads of chips.
  • The Golden Sunrise on Allport Road used to be nice, but it went a bit downhill. Gary (if he still works there) always gives me extra 'cos he's my brother's mate...
  • Merebrook isn't bad now at the back and there's an excellent kebab shop on Acre Lane that does top burgers too...
  • Then there's Deep Pan Pizza on the Retail Park, Asda sandwiches, McDonalds, and the nice Louisiana Exchange - a bit pricey but good for treating Mum or your wife, and then there's the bowling alley diner - not quite as good...
  • The Royal Oak at the Cross is a Beefeater and isn't too bad.
  • There's a couple of Indian restaurants. There was one next to the Swallow House which got closed down recently and one at Brom Cross which is good.
  • Rocco Barocco on Dibbinsdale Road is good for a change (it's where the Dibbinsdale Hotel is) and there's a restaurant at the Village complex (together with a hotel, bar, gym and pool - it's a good place to stay).
  • Also on the Retail Park is a man with a van on weekend nights with huge hamburgers and the like.
