• The ritzy was sound i liked the way kev x dj'ed and the tunes he played. Listening to him was the reson i started djing i really wanted to meet him to talk about it but i never got my chance as it closed Gutted anyway my email ad is huffy_a_1@hotmail.co.uk just in case any 1 knows im thanks......
• Used to be the Merebrooke and the Ritzy for me. This was back in the early '90's when I still lived in Brookhurst
• Bring back the Ritzy, as it was cheap, staggering distance and a late dance with ya mates. Ok there was the occasional fight and crap night, but you get that anywhere. You have to be drunk and up for a laugh and the bouncers should I D everone. As now us under 30`s have no where local to go and liverpool isnt cheap for getting home.£30 plus onto your night out...nooooo!!! Why dont they open some pubs over there, as the Broms ok but always packed and the Oak is full of OAPS and it smells funny. We are taking our money out of our home town and we dont want to. BRING BACK THE RITZY, EVEN THE S****Y WILL DO.2005

• Well, the Ritzy has now closed down due to complaints of noisy clubbers returning home, mainly by those superior residents in the Dibbinsdale and Brookhurst areas! It looks like hotshots will follow suit.

• As far as i'm aware the Ritzy closed down early this year (2003) Does anyone know if it has re-opened or when it will? Kids and sticky carpets are bearable when you hear the choones and dance ya socks off all night! It may be a dive but a night out is what you make it.

• The Ritzy in Bromborough, I live in Glasgow now, and as sad as the ritzy was lets face it who could ever forget the buzz when 'face down ass up' or shooting star comes on. Come on all together now 'Ritzy people make some f*cking noise!'
• the ritzy-bearable if your really really drunk and you know everyone in there, if youre sober its crap and you cant help noticing how much your feet stick to the floor...
• Alas, some of the remarks below are terribly missleading. The Ritzy is nothing but a terrible club for stripey la coste jumpers and people who should know better. Avoid like the plauge unless you like shouting "blow my whistle bitch!" a lot.

• Well, i have just read the most outdated, ridiculous, and unfair description of my home town! Im a 19 year old student, and the ritzy is not for under 18's (as they implied in the previous description)! The ritzy now holds a very strict door policy, qhere every person is asked for identification, and if you are of the legal age, then it shouldnt be much of a problem! SHOULD IT!? Any way, its cheap, easy and best of all enjoyable night out! Its within stumbling distance of home which is safer for all concerned! So dont promote liverpool, which leaves you out of pocket for the rest of the month, because your too busy paying for: pre party drinks, trainfares, drinks whilst your there, the odd tramp that you may pass, and the odd bloke selling dead flowers, and then a wham bam £30 taxi fare home! I love BROMBOROUGH!
• The Ritzy, Bromborough, may attract the younger(even youngest)generation of clubbers and play the usual cheesey, crap commercial dance(+ a bit of happy hardcore and "scouse house") but it`s still a good night out. A place to go and have a laugh and usually a fight with your mates!(Also the bouncers are all arseholes!)
• Ahhhh, onto the Ritzy in Bromborough. This is the coolest place to be nowadays (2001) as Radio City do a 'guarenteed lockout' Wednesday night. Its simple awesome, DJ Kev X, a Ritzy legend. Try to get to know "Jacko, Goono and Nuggy who are the people to be seen with!!Also Liverpool on Saturdays, Slaters etc...
• Argh! - dont go the ritzy! Hop on the train and go the krazy house instead.
• Ritzy, 5th Avenue - great night out after a good game of bowling in HotShots.
• Actually The Ritzy isn't owned by Rank, it's owned by Luminar
• The only club has got to be the Ritzy. Friday, Wednesday nights, but nmot saturday night.
• The only thing there is is ghastly franchises of characterless places like the Ritzy etc. Definitely a statistically significant higher number of deaths associated with going to these places. Be very afraid.
• The Oak (Twighlight Cafe) and then on to The Glyder!!
• Not in Bromborough. Unless you like small town clubs that is. Go to Liverpool instead.
• The Ritzy is now called Club 1 after the nickname "Sh*tzy" stuck. Its still only for the Under 18 and the Beer is too expensive and tastes like rats urine. 5th Ave is still there and it seems like the Afterhours annexe of the Merebrook.
• There are two. Both Rank owned - the Ritzy and 5th Avenue for the over 25's. The usual chain of big clubs with the usual music, drinks (I should know, I worked there for two months over Christmas 1991), girls, boys, old men and women and toilets with music videos. They also have a burger bar, but only if you're really hungry!
• Regarding the club "scene", don't consider going to Ritzy if you are over 18 and have any credibility or pride whatsoever!
