Favourite Building in Bromborough, Merseyside*

Art deco, contemporary, futuristic, tall, short...

You can tell us more about Bromborough.

Favourite Building
  • stanhope house and sweenys bring back a lot of memories
  • The Asda
  • any one of my mates houses
  • Has got to be the St Barnabus church in Brombourough Village, not religious but can appreciate this old beautifull building, and there is a famous large stone outside the gates, been there for donkeys not sure why its famous? does anyone know?, in history books of Bromborough though that I haven't read for years.
  • St Barnabus
  • Brotherton Hall - a Chartered Accountants now but it is lovely - Opposite the Bromborough Pub and next to an old folks home. Nice architecture.
  • otters tunnel down bromborough woods(okay, technically not a building) its really fun for making echoey nioses and scaring small children
  • cinema and maccy d's
  • The Ritzy, or Port Sunlight war memorials.
  • pear tree cottage
  • Absolutely has to be the old Hooton power station, now converted into flats, sadly. It was truly deserted and had good junk hanging about it.
  • Merebrook Hotel!!
  • I really like Bromborough Station's original building & the big old house further down Allport Road on the corner of Dibbinsdale.
  • The train station.
  • Gary's chippy "especially at 11 'o' clock on a Friday evening after a few sociable lagers
  • Although technically not in Bromborough, you can see the Liverpool Cathedral from the coast, you can also see it from wales (while i'm talking about the Dee side of our fun peninsula, bromborough is about 25 minutes away from west kirby, not one hour)
  • There used to be lots of nice big old houses down Plymyard Ave. but most of them have been knocked down and turned into housing estates. One of the few big nice houses left is Kinders on Allport road which apparently used to be home to either the Barker or Dobson Family from Everton Mints Fame. Another nice building is the old Bromborough library.
