Hookup Spots
- shoe-flicks on brookie park! we used to get on the swings and then lash our trainers as far as we could. if you could get past the slide you were doing top. bar-to-bar as well. i was lord of that shit, if i do say so myself. many brilliant drunken teenage memories from the early-mid 90s...
- Brookie Park - I'm another one used to sit on the green box thingy, or on the swings with a load of mates. The bridge over the railway by marfords was another spot. this was early 90's
- hot spots were we hung around were viki wine waiting for someone to go in for are skol supers!!! then up to eastham to course trouble!!! me an all the bromborough lads!!!
- in the summer we used to hang out on leverhulme sports field and on the roof of the sports club there drinking bottles of 'stock!!' or cans of special brew!!! Methodist church steps and the common too. ha ha ha - the memories all come flooding back!!
- the main area is bromborough park those who say it isnt are too scared to hang around there. If you dont go there then your missing out especially in the summer just lying there in the sun getting wrecked.Check it out
- Does anyone remember the 1937?
- bradmoor youth club was a good meeting place, anyone remember mrs.cheek who used to run it?
- rnd bromborough its borin, but its the same 4 all teens. some ppl hang rnd the common and the police come and otha rnd by hotshots until they get chuked out!! but our little gang hang rnd plymyard ave. bored cold and usualy in the rain!!!
- The abondond school at the back of the motocross course.ROCK AND ROLL!80)
- The methodist church wall opposite the common
- Dibby woods, plymyard fields, raeburn school and allport shops, outside the merebrook on the wall!
- I think Bromborough Leisure Park is great, especially the cinema over there actually i just went there on friday and even though it has been there for some time i still don't get fed up of going there and macdonalds
- That dodgy set of trees called "paradise woods" on the edge of the trim trail while mid-teen scallies hang out clinging to the little trees they can actually climb
- I always enjoy falling asleep at the taxi rank after failing to pull any underage scallies in the ritzy
- Get me mate in a leather jacket and stubble to get 5 skol each from viccy wines in Brom village, either go to Eastham woods, to kimo's pizza and get a quality pizza with blick pappur from a 37" pepper mill! or go to TIT HILL on Eastham lodge golf course and roll down it. Go on admit it you were there to.
- Broadway roundabout, in Higher Bebington, at the car park round the back of the shops. Also in the bus stop there.
- the village,down the woods,brotherton park
- The leisure park has EVERYTHING you could want: pizzas, fast-food, Mcdonalds, Bowling, Gym, Chesmist, Asda amongst other shops, Car wash.
- you all forgot the corner of valley road and the rake, outside sweeneys
the only place to get your cheap cider
- Well, I live in Canada now, but I used to live on Ambelside Close, right opposite The Common. I'm sure I climbed every tree there. I went to Reaburn then on to Acre Lane (and I do remember the Chippy), I also remember "kids" sweet shop on Allport. Mum used to pick us up from school and give us 10p - We could get a bag full.
I also used to go to BB at the Church on the corner, though I can't remember its name
- the green telephone box thing at the end of Brookhurst Road was popular in the mid eighties, as was the park on Brookhurst Road. Major league scallies would cross the (then unelectrified) railway line to Eastham, well Plymyard to fight with other top quality highlighted and mulletted scallies.
- The common was great....we all used to meet on the "log" until some bugger tried to get fire to it!! Are any of that gang still about the area? Mark.
- The chippy at the end of acre lane
- We used to hang about on the common at junction of Allport Road and Allport Lane, occasionally the fair used to come to Bradmoor field. There was great rivalry between Eastham and Bromborough and there used to be big fights especially when the fair was about. There used to be a "teen" disco at the Legion once a month where all the "schoolies" went!!
- You still can't get rid of Kids hanging round like vampires outside Threshers asking you if youd buy them a bottle of Merrydown Cider and/or alcopops
- Threshers on Allport Road then the Park on Brookhurst Road where we drank Cherry Coke and ate Star Bars... There's also a couple of yoof clubs (one at St. Barnabas - but not church run and one at the Methodist...)
