Live Music Venues
  • Under New Management, The OC Club has changed it's face. It has undergone a fantastic facelift and is fast becoming one of the areas 'Go To' places, with it's smart interior and great food, Sunday lunches are mmmmmmm........ and not expensive making them fantastic value for money. Live music and cabaret are coming alive again and the fact that it has a large car park for those travelling and is in the heart of the community for those walking or a short taxi ride away, it has everything going for it. Why don't you go along and take a look.Great for the over 21's.
  • The Brom but it gets too packed The Archers has been re done out and its ok The merebrooks a devent size pub and not full of posers anyomore
  • Bromborough Legion or to hear the Freddie Smith Big Band - Bebington Legion
  • royal court, pacific road and the iron door club.
  • the folk night at the RAFA in Port Sunlight. There's an old trampy kind of guy with a terrible hairpiece who always gets up on singers' nights and sings vaguely pervy songs about 'nut brown maidens' while playing some macabre 'instrument' he has fashioned himself from bones. Not human ones. I don't think.
  • The Merebrook often have bands on, but most of them really shouldn't bother to turn up. Thats apart from co.uk who are brilliant!
  • Gary Murphy at the Merebrook is a guitar legend, no really, behind you. Also if you can get the hairy barman, Si, to sing he's a hero
  • Go to Liverpools Matthew Street for some good bars, Quarter Bar etc...
  • All over the city of Liverpool. Just 20 mins away by train.
  • The Merebrook should be charged for assisting in murder for the musical genocide it promotes - The bands take up valuable drinking space.
  • My girlfriend saw PJ and Duncan at the Ritzy last year (and really enjoyed it!). MFM (a radio station broadcasting to the Wirral & North Wales) used to do PA's and Promo stuff from there - I dare say City FM do the same. The nearest real venue is the Royal Court in Liverpool (20 mins on the train).
