Tims shop was a great place to hang outside, especially if you got a glimpse of tim's dad who had a plastic spag hand and who used to try to touch up your 10p pick and mix. I wonder if he still walks the planet? At the back of tim's was an ideal place to do skids on your bmx. Many of you will be too young to remember the derelict pig farm which was demolished to make way for the shitty jelson estate. We got chased off that farm by a wild man with a shotgun in a landrover. I was able to outrun him on my raleigh mini burner. I don't know why i write this, is anyone interested?

• The green in the west corner of the Jelson estate (THE Jelson estate, that is, the original as shoddyest featuring such roads as 'The Stiles' and such shops as 'Tim's Happy Shopper') has been a prime site for the footballing talent of Broughton Astley. James Smith, Nick Wood, Pickering's Matthew, Adam, Jarrad, Ben, Oliver and Andrew (no relation), Alex Griffiths, Marc Connell, Lee Evans, Steve Hargreaves, Matty Matty Watts, Gareth Smith, and many more have graced its hallowed turf.
