• julian. hes a the scariest man alive. in the summer if your lucky youll see him drinking gravy by the library.
• There was a real Character collecting signatures, for saving wildlife. he chatted to anyone, who was willing to listen. Characters like him, are, unfortunately dying out, particularly in the larger towns and cities.
• Local Characters, well, theres Nigel, often sat with his trolley and stuff by the Rolle in winter or on the seafront in summer. He'll chat till yer ears bleed. Strange "lady in black" beware driving in and out of Budleigh, this lady is quite often on the roadside in black,so be aware. "Big Bob", you wont miss him, in the feathers sat at the end of the bar. One of the nicest guys in Budleigh, a real character, if you want to know something local, he is the one to ask. A font of information on many things.
• On the late night shopping nights in the run-up to Christmas you have people a-carolling and a-playing their instruments! ( I was unfortunate enough to be roped into this on my triangle one year!)
