• Buntingford is a strong social town. You are going to find some idiots there, but name a town where you won't. There are many people who have really good intentions and if you are/become a resident, you will have realised it. If you decide to visit the town, then don't be put off by the negative points of the place. They were included for amusement and are sometimes not always true. I've lived there for many years and the atmosphere is relaxed and casual.
• Ignore all the crap comments it really is v. nice place to live, quiet but with good access by car to a lot of places
• to the person who described Buntingford as basically a shite hole, get a life and go and be boring somewhere else, life is what you make it, you dont have to be bored or boring, the place you live usually has nothing to do with what you can do with your time. Jinny
• I've been there - all the pubs were closed except one - the Chequers and that was shite. Do yourself a favour - don't go.
• Buntingford is all the things described in your section, although you underplayed the boredom factor which rates -1090 on the Watching Wet Paint Dry scale.
• Buntingford does have a certain appeal for scientists: it is inhabited by morons. I was lucky, I escaped in just the nick of time -- my psychiatrist has give me the all clear.
