Cinemas
  • The Rio - GET NEW SPEAKERS!
  • I visited the Rio cinema in Burnham, despite hearing that it wasn't very good, and I have to say I enjoyed myself. I can only guess that it's been nicely done up. My ticket cost £2, and it's only a couple of quid extra for drink, popcorn, chocolate etc. The place was comfortable and great value. I go there every weekend now and no longer bother with the Odeons in Chelmsford or Southend - they're three times more expensive, and there's the extra train fare, too.
  • rio cinema, sh*t hole but very cheap ($2.50)
  • Now showing Goonies finally!!!!
  • its ok but u cant really talk coz a man comes and shines a torch in ur eyes and thretons to punch u soo but i go there every friday coz it a gd hang out and u can get away from da chav's
  • The Rio --- SHITE ---
  • rio, best quality cinema in essex.
  • Ours has the up to date films , cosy sofas and it's not far to walk
  • Rio, gash house
  • Wow , this place is still going
  • Its great if a film has been out for ages and is no longer shown at the other cinemas and you want to see it, the chances are it'll still be showing it at Burnham
  • the cinema is ok but i don't go there. i'd rather travel to chelmsford. it's ok if you're bored and it's a last minute desicion.
  • Rio Cinema - CRAP
  • Ha ha ha! God the "Amazing Rio", fantastic if you like stale popcorn, flat drinks and Mickey Mouse joining you from his little hole to watch a film with less quality than my nans 1950's black and white tv! Plus if you wait one more week after its hit the RIO, it will be on UK Gold or Channel 5!!!!
  • the cinema is nicely called 'the flea pit'. and it is, last time i went there to stare at that little screen my legs were bitten to death! its bee there since the war, and they still use the same oil lamps
  • At least we have one and it has 2 screens!!!
  • The Rio, 15 years ago we used to call it the Flea Pit, I bet they still haven't purchased a hoover (sorry vacuum). The only cinema in England where you wipe your feet on the way out. Actually it's a life saver in the winter...Burnham's a bleak place when it's cold.
  • the rio is the coolest cinema around, sure it breaks down loads but where else can you see 18 rated films at 10 years old?!?!
  • Burnham has a rubbish cinema called the RIO
