- Gary Glitter owned Chaplin's bar on the seafront
- The famous playwright Ben Travers, creator of the hugely succesful Aldwych farces, lived in Burnham at Hillam House, on Berrow Road, where he wrote many of his plays. His youngest son still lives in Burnham and is an active member of the local community.
- The man who used to walk around with no trousers on.
Big Daddies brother or something or other used to be in the carnival
Iron Maiden made a video in the sand dunes and stayed in the queens hotel.
Lord Kitcheners (the guy who points the finger and says 'your country needs you!') wife or someone like that is buried in burnham somewhere i think. Died of an insect bite or something.
- Anne Diamond did indeed live in a flat on the Esplanade, at the top of Seaview Road, on the left. It was a first floor flat. I and some friends lived downstairs.
- Allegedly, it is written that Miss Anne of Diamondsville once resided in one of the seaview victorian residencies!
- Gary Glitter was known to reside in and around BoS ....until his recent troubles! He used to drink in the Clarence and wore silver shorts and a matching bomboer jacket in the summer nmonths.
Frankie Howerd used to rehearse his lines while walking on the beach at Burnham.
