- You despratly need an up-date on the Ritz Cinema. This has now been totally re-furmbished and modernised and now has two screens. This is a great venue to watch newly released films, childrens films and archieve films. Please, those of you who have knocked the Ritz Cinema please visit, then make your comment. Please call 01278 794123.
- Sadly the Ritz Cinema has now closed. It was never a flea pit and I for one sadly miss it.
- WELSHIES PLC IS THE TOWNS MAJOR ALCOHOLIC HANG OUT ITS AN OLD DISUSED CINEMA WHERE ALL THE LOCAL SMACK HEADS AND ALOCHOLICS BINGE....WE NEED MORE PLACES LIKE THAT !!!
- Is there a cinema in Burnham? Only jokin` but I`d rather go to the Crown than go there to get eaten by fleas in the cinema
- Hello my name is PETER LEA and after reading your write up about the Ritz cinema i feel i must put you right. On the 1st August 2000 my comany cinema and leisure services took over the running of the ritz, i can see that your coments were correct at the time of going to press. However as of the 12th August we have installed brand new projection equipment along with Dolby digital sound, the carpets have been replaced and we wikll be replacing seating in the near future. however the seating has been repaired for the time being until the new seats arrive. The cinema does now offer the biggest picture in somerset along with digital sound and should you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact my manager Andy Betts on site or my self at the head office on 01455 291010 at any time. Many Thanks Peter Lea Managing Director Cinema and Leisure Services Ltd
- local flea pit is always closed for maintenance, used to go there in the 70's
- This is the place to be. In all seriousness this is a good little flea pit for quality films at a good price. A word of warning however....wear an old pair of shoes to prevent distress in the event of being unable to remove one from the carpet.!!!!!!
- If you like old fashioned style cinemas with uncormfortable seats but big screens, then the Ritz in Victoria St is for you
