You can tell us more about Burnham on Sea.
Favourite Building
- Nuclear powerstation across the water its fabunuclearous
- The post office...it just looks out of place and quaint!
- The Queen's Hotel - aspirations of elegance that the rest of the town never quite caught up with.
- Wooden Lighthouse
- WILLY BROWNS
- Queens Hotel, Some may remember the good old days of the Queens ,when Patrick ran that most successful of bars, greeting everybody with a smile and a joke(HA)
- The old Band Stand on the new sea front (fond memories).
- The Ritz Cinema - having worked there for a few years i was scared to death of the ghost rumours flying around, i also remember an excellent amateur dramatic production of The Sound of Music being staged there, as i recall the stage manager had a more starring role than me.
- not realy a building, but i do like the sand dunes
- The lighthouse on the beach is a famous building because it is on the beach, and it is really old and it is very white and ... we all like it and it is on the 'Burnham and Highbridge' coat of arms ..so it must be famous, right.
- Not an achitectural heaven I'm afraid. The old Tucker's Garage in Victoria Street in interesting 'cos it's wierd.
- The Pavilion...they used to have a really great Model Train Layout in there at one time, we would spend hrs. in there
