Cheap Food in Burnham, Buckinghamshire*

Corner eateries, quick bites and the local chippy

You can tell us more about Burnham.

Cheap Food
  • The local Chinese takeaway Go Wah is consistently good though not very cheap. The chippie in Burnham Lane (down the hill towards the station) is truely awesome - just check out the queues! Whites in the High St should be called Shites - they just don't care, and everything is stale.
  • theres a few restraunts down the highstreet, and theres the red squirrel down burnham lane, i cant think of any more it is burnham afterall
  • Peppers and Anoosh are both excellent, avoid the chip shop they use more grease than most garages! When will they ever learn to use fresh oil?
  • Happy Chef, Anslow Place, Priory Estate. Great take away nosh.
  • The Akash at the bottom of the High Street is great, best avoided late at night if your with your wife/ girlfriend unless shes got cast iron ears and where pissed up nob heads insult the waiters ( before getting their meal) when will they ever learn ?
  • New Indian restaurant "Unique Spice" has opened where Romero's Italian used to be. Very good food and good service but slightly over priced. It will be very lucky to convert the stalwart supporters of the "Akash" which is one of the finest Indian's around.
  • Akash (Indian) is a must if you like very good Indian food down the bottom of the High Street.
  • Peppers Indian is the best for miles, the people are lovley, the food is fantastic, and the reastarant is very clean and a pleasure to visit compared to the Akash which is full of dead bodies.
  • Quite a good Indian at the bottom of the High St. Peppers is nauseating. Wing Yip is very good. Catch a train to London if you want to eat out.
  • Fish and Chip shop in High Street is an institution amongst the locals.
