The Worst Things in Burnham, Buckinghamshire*

The entirely missable and worth mentioning because of it

You can tell us more about Burnham.

The Worst Things
  • Avoid living in Littlebrook avenue - kids from Britwell will terrorise you.
  • Cars. Cars. Cars. Cars. Everyone uses Burnham as a handy rat-run to Slough trading estate. Selfish morons in SUVs all over the place. Cretins straight out of the BBC series, 'The office'.
  • so close 2 slough,if u say ur from burnham people immediatly relate it 2 slough and the stop talking to you
  • The footpath from Gore Road to North Burnham Close needs re-surfacing and hedges trimmed.
  • The footpath from Gore Road to North Burnham Close needs re-surfacing and hedges trimmed.
  • The kids that just can't go out safely because of all the annoying arsehole gangs who want to beat them up and rob them. Total traffic conjestion. Where are the police when you want them....what do we pay them for...just to nick US for speeding ? You would think with one of the highest crime rates around there would actually be a few cops about...maybe that answers why it has such a high crime rate. The High Street by day : traffic wardens The High Street at night : psychopaths on the loose Burnham Park anytime : just avoid it
  • The really annoying Alsation that belongs to Tawana's Superstore in Lent Rise. The owners think it's OK to let their dog bark throughout the night (it lives permanently outside I might add). I never need an alarm clock, as I am guaranteed to be woken up at 4.50am by the god-awful racket this dog makes. Is anyone else affected by it!
  • Everthing apart from Peppers,Charity shops,Hallmarks,and Budgens.
  • Snobbery against the local Britwell estate, it used to be a large counil estate but is now mostly privatley owned so people have more pride in there surroundings. You still have some areas of it which have problems, but there are a places in Slough that are a lot worse, I should know I've lived on the Britwell for 28 years !.
  • Kids in the park. ever since they put CCTV in the high street, they hang around the back of the library and practice spitting for hours on end.
  • The pretty duckpond behind St Peters church - and the gangs of bored teenagers openly killing ducks with catapults. You can't feed these ducks - they won't come anywhere near you.
  • The deathly hush even on a Saturday afternoon. The delinqent scum in the High St on a Fri/Sat night. The ugly, miserable and peasant-like people. The fact I can't afford to get the hell out of here.
  • Proximity to Slough, Britwell. Lower socioeconomic areas.
