The Best Things in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk*
If you're around, be sure to check these things out
You can tell us more about Bury St Edmunds.
The Best Things
- The farmers club.
- Sunny days, the Abbey Gardens, and a shotgun.
- Abbey gardens, great place for meeting new people if your a young, slightly matured greb/goth/person of alternative nature
- Pot black, bur bowl, new cinema ang Uk Best Kebab
- The small town atmosphere, and friendly nature. Its such an easy place just to enjoy yourself. It has a (relatively) low crime level, and you can walk from one side to the other in about an hour and a half.
- bury is well good! and the abbey is just the ultimate place to chill
- benji
little 'en
- the weather,
- Free parking for college students round the back of the leisure centre.
The Falcon pub. students will understand.
- Going to one of those pubs you haven't been in for years, and realising why.
The Abbey gardens on a nice day when it's surprisingly not too packed.
Beer gardens.
The friendliness of the girls toilets at Brazilias.
The uniquness of the town.
The tenuous claim to national fame, (that we all cling to) regarding the Magna Carter.
- All my mates and our various random things we could only do in Bury. Also the strange people that can be seen on the streets of St Eds.
- the local moreton hall bus (B3) is always running so its good for travlle (and practicing your throwing skills!)
Police in this town is good
- Abbot Ale and my friends who used to live there.
- not many grannie muggings
- The shops!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- THE BEST THING IS SKATEBOARDING AND BMXING
- LF-1
- in the middle, so easy access to cambridge, colchester, norwich and ipswich for a good night out
- ?? If U like it quiet and boring then this is your place!
I think I'll come back here when I'm forty!
- Jay from HH.
- The A14 out of the place!
- I grew up here, moved away and have lived in several other places...but it's nice to be back...and I can't think of a better place to bring up our new son!!
- The nice feeling of home and the laugh you ahve at the sad individuals who waste there petrol revving up round the centre. Charlies for the best food and the laugh when oit with all my gorgeous friends
- Train and Bus Stations can take you to bigger and better places.
- Skateboarders, Metallers and cool people!
- The people - from the youth, the Nameless Anarchist Horde (a group of twenty something romantics), to the elderly who can remeber old Bury before the war. Bury is quiet, sleepy and conservative with a small 'c'- but it's also truly beautiful as a place to visit and has a great charm.
- Choral evensong at the cathedral.
- The prospect of leaving next year.
- The bus service in Bury is fantastic even though it is run by a half wit and his sidekick.
- The Grapes, it rocks
