- the sandwich shop behind Ottakers, Yes i still call it Ottaker it will never be waterstones to me.
- McDonalds is the best and that's that.
- The hot dog stand down abbey gate street and also the burger van next to train station
- UK Best kebab. Never got to chick king!!!!!
- Not charlies kebab (near xtreme), unless you want a fight.
not chick king unless u want food poisoning,
best chinese = one behind mcdonalds.
Best chips = one near hardwick health.
other than that there are loads of perfectly ok, cheap places. KFC, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, and loads of chinese's, Indians etc. Avoid Burger King in Bury like the plague. Only the local American's go in there... and they probably only do it once. filthy with rude staff, poor food. sometimes they run out of stuff. went in once and they only had chips, onion rings, chicken bites and fanta. no burgers or anything.
- When I was last there, the Canton chinese was a good place to eat, if you like chinese. The manager there appears not to forget a face. I went there with the wife and didn't go back for about six months. The manager remembered us and even said we sat at the same table, which we had.
- chick king for food poisioning
- Maccy D. You could try Burger King if you like food which comes with a small order of rotten mouldy fries and spit in your burger!
- Bangkok City is fantastic and just the kind of thing Bury needs as not all of us want to go out to eat pretentious over priced french food, (cafe rouge), or pub food, no matter how good the Linden Tree might be. Excellent value for money and pretty good selection, but we've all been there...
- Maccy D's, Pizza Hut, various chippie's!
- Mumtaz, curry awesom!!!
- Mc Donalds is definately the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Shapla. Fantastic retro Indian (Flock wallpaper, no modern muck like balti etc... on the menu)just round the corner from The Angel. Able to comfortably sit about 12 but actually sitting 40 or more under the iron rule of the most bossy and dictatorial manager I've ever seen. A gem.
Some Italian. Possibly the only Italian in Bury. Crowded. Smells of stale cheese. Overcrowded at the weekend. Food decidedly average. Anywhere that can make veal tough is in serious trouble.
- I went to a lovely restaurant on Saturday whilst visiting my cousin! The restaurant was called Tiramisu in Cannon Street - opposite old Cannon Brewery I think it was called. Decor isn't fantastic but the food was gorgeous! I had prawns that were amazingly massive!
- Chick King is great! Everywhere else is over-priced
- Charlies, Charlies,Charlies, Charlies, Charlies the best chinese takeaway in hte surrounding area.
- we want a KFC!
- Cafe Uno
Cafe Rouge
Pizza hut
Maccy dees
Mr chips
- Mumtaz (Indian take-away) is excellent. If you're after food after a night in the pub, you should go to Maccy D's, West End Chippy or Charlie's.
- The Star at nearby Lidgate has a superb Catalan chef - excellent stuff with emphasis on fish.
- Maccy D's is the best after a heavy night down the pub.
- The Bistro and Mortimer's, both of Churchgate St, are the best resaurants in town.
- The best place to eat is the West End Chippy... right by the entrance to town from the South side.
- The best chip shop is actually the Hardwick Chippy, not the West End. Horrible greasy chips cooked in diesel oil from the West End.
- The Kebab shop on Angel Hill is the best place for chips, although their Kebabs are recommended after only a large amount of alcohol.
