The more interesting clothing stores

You can tell us more about Bury St Edmunds.

Clothes Shops, Shoe Shops, Fashion and Bargains
  • Trotter and dean, the only place to go.
  • Nothing for men, unless you are appearing in court when TopMan really does come in handy for that £20 suit you had promised yourself. Women have shit loads of choice.
  • Sunrise is alright but is closing down soon, hardcore hobbies for skateshoes,
  • offices club
  • Sunrise = alternative. Stone angel = fashion, but at a cost. Javelin borders on alternative, but is still commercial. expensive too, but well worth a visit during the sales. Hot 2 Def = chav / ganster rapper wear. v. pricey. Glansville = v. expensive menswear. other than that there is just topshop/man and burtons and the usual chains.
  • TOPSHOP is all i can say
  • GOT TO BE SUNRISE
  • Sunrise Has been the only true freestyle clothing shop in the town for many years, on St John's Street,I still shop there and i live 250 miles away.
  • Javelin is the best shop in bury by far! fantastic clothes, although expensive, definatly worth the money! Labels ranging from quiksilver, animal and o'neill, to firetrap, diesel and fcuk! the best brands around. Personally this shop is one of my faves if not THE fave! Mr Shoes is also a great shoe shop, with sometimes pricey but lovely shoes!
  • None except Burtons and Top man for the blokes and New look, Top shop dotty P's select for the girls really...
  • Recently a new shop in town has opened called Wildlife, its a little way away from the centre of town, opposite St Louis school, but its well worth a visit. There are rails of lovely clothes, the staff are really friendly and you can sit down, have a chat and a coffee for free! Not many places give you free coffee!! Its open every Friday from noon til 7.30pm. An ideal place to hang out after work!
  • Sunrise, Hardcore Hobbies, they have muchly brilliant stuff!
  • sunrise!!
  • Hardcore hobbies down St. John st. and the Jean station down abbeygate st.
  • New Look are great and every time I gio in there I come out whith a new look, Sunrise is also very good if your a punk and willing to spend tha money on the stuff
  • go sunrise to be a hippy or a sad bast*rd
  • HARDCOE HOBBIES
  • several clothes shops for 12 yr olds and under and 30 and over otherwise forget it! once got a skirt off the market for a tenner though!
  • None its crap, oh yeah the Ipswich Town World of Punch is good.
  • Hmm... not much to choose from. Javelin is best option but they don't stock enough in small size. You have to be a 7ft beast with a large belly to get anything in there.
  • Sunrise, Sunrise, sunrise. Go to cambridge
  • Queen of the Bury Bargins here, I rate Newlook and Select highly for good deals. Only the other day I got TWO dresses for £5 from Select. Topshop has the occassional good buy.
  • Javelin is kinda kool and has loads of stuff like Quiksilver, animal, mambo and also French Conectioin but is pretty pricey.(t-shirts are about £25.99!). Sunrise is also a really good shop (St. Johns St.) with stuff like ....well mostly gurl stuff and a few things to put in your room where as the upstairs is much more of a board-shop selling shoes, clothes and accessroies (wallets) with labels such as Airwalk, Billabong, Mambo, Salt rock, Quiksilver, Globe and many others!
  • Stone Angel(used to be Phillip Browne)-The only shop selling anything remotely designer. Reasonable prices. Extremely sexy male staff. St. John's Street.
  • Bury town is not worth shopping in. There aren't many boutiques, and for the best shops, it's worth travelling to Cambridge, which is only about 45 minutes away, and well worth it.
  • Sunrise and Zoo are the only decent shops in Bury. But there is a shit load of charity shops, if you like that kind of thing!
  • By far the best clothes shop is Trotter & Deane in Abbeygate Street (if you have enormous amounts of money). They have a separate mens' and womens' outfitters next door to each other.
  • select sells clothes but if you ask me you'd be better off making your own stuff than investing in some of their 5 garments for £5 offer. quality is not their strong point.
  • Sunrise is the coolest shop around Bury, for guys and gals! Has surf, skate and club labels as well as bits and bobs. The people there are really friendly as well. Topshop is full of shazzas, and New Look is a definate no-no.
  • There's quite a good clothes shop on St John's Street; it also sells head paraphernalia.
