• the weed, the people and the relaxed lifestyle
• St marys girls are at the heart of the town. Without them lord only knows what would happen.
• St Marys Girls of Course
• Calne is great place for a young lad to practise sexual prowse! the woman are so easy and because they are also very ugly the chances of falling in love are nil!
• The libary because its the only place worth skating

• LOW CRIME RATE!!! Whoever things Calne has a high crime rate should try living in LONDON as I have for the last 30 years! The obnoxious kids just need to be put in their place, DON'T let them intimidate you. At least here they move out of your way as you walk along.
• Dont go there - horrible, horrible, horrible Best thing is its only 30 mins to Bath or 15 mins to Chippenham and train to London
• the road leaving calne. Kings arms. smokers corner. the alley.
• Takin the piss out of it
• You can take the piss out of it all day when you are bored
• St MArys school 6th form girls :-)

• John Bentley School, a top quality educational establishment which has finally shaken off it's bad image thanks to head teacher Anne Burrel's efforts.
• When I can leave it behind in the car!! Cheap houses
• The Liquior store and smokers corner in St. Mary's grounds, also the boarding houses are a bit of all right!!!!!!!!!
• Best thing about Calne was gettind s**tfaced in the jolly miller and having nice people clean sick off you.
• The Talbot inn. Quemeford. This pub has got to be the best in Calne.
• About Calne hmmmmm the A4 the way out of there and a sure indication that you are going home!!!!!!
• Its a real laugh slating it on websites like this
• at least the houses are cheaper than Swindon and Chippenham!!

• Nobody cares if you walk around out of your face and Fulcrum, best local band.
• the people are all alright really , except the kids who are now soooo rude it's unbeliveable

• Sainsburys, the road out of Calne
• Walking from Castle Park along the restored part of the canal
• Erm. It only takes ten minutes to drive through. Erm.Its very rural. It has a thriving Christian community. You can find almost any flavour of denomination you want.
• The best thing in Calne is the A4 out of it.
• Rumours abound that a shipload of money is going to be spent on a millennium project for Calne, where Harris' used to stand. I'll believe it when I see it.
• The Green is a lovely area; very Georgian & genteel. God knows how the rest of Calne spawned from this.
• There's a bloke that sells fresh fish from a van at the market on Friday's.
• Calne's not such a bad place these days. We have several types of places to eat in or take away, plans for a BMX/skate area, some reasonable pubs and some beautiful old buildings. The surrounding country side is fantastic. Last but not least the people are very friendly!
• The Saturday Night fights (not pay per view). If you think Mike Tyson is an animal, you should see some of the fights in Calne on a Saturday night.
• "Bowood" off the A4 towards Chippenham - great adventure playground, lovely grounds for walking. Do a good deal on season tickets.
• White horse on the hill at Cherhill (A4 towards Marlborough).
