• Nothing special, cheaper than most i suppose, never much on.
• There is Movie Starr along the seafront. It's small and unasuming, but its great if all you want to do is go out and see a movie. Its probably the best attraction on Canvey.

• The Moviestarr cinema in the seafront is not bad for a small cinema and quite good prices.

• There's only one and we're proud of it. Movie Stars down the seafront.

• the fire exit signs are right next to the screens, so they are green in one corner!
• is it just me or does anyone else feel sick when visiting Canvey's cinema? whats with the cheap carpet and badly painted walls?!
• the good old movie starr is grrrrreeeat! its like watching a film in your lounge on a normal size TV except the people are annoying who also watches the film and the seats, dont get me started on the seats lets just say they are made of wood that itches.
• The cinema is ok for a night out and cheaper than most of the cinemas in the area. Get a mate to work there and they provide you with free food.The cinema is never more than a quarter full and you can sit anywhere you bloody like!

• There's only 1 cinema on Canvey but I agree with all the oldies, turn the bingo hall back in2 the cinema! Plz! :o)

• A very small cinema at the seafront, but its better than not having one there. Amusements are across the road and between it so its a good laugh.

• We actually have one now! And it's pretty good! Starr is down on the seafront and is small but perfectly formed. Other than that, your nearest journey is Southend, Basildon or Lakeside.
• Movie Starr Cine-plex. Just opened. Four screens, Latest Dolby Digital sound system. All the latest movies. What the Islands been waiting for. No more driving to Lakeside or Southend. Cheaper than the big cinemas as well.
