• The Monico!!!!!
• just taken over astairs now vibe. gonna try and make it better and get rid of the bad stigma this place has come and try it out need a bit of help in turning this place around so there is a fun place for canvey people at weekends
• Mmmm... the mighty Kings Club was where it was at Thursday, Friday and Saturday in my time. By all accounts closed now due to lots and lots and lots of violence and weaponry - same in my day but the bloody beaurocrats seem to have got their way... Shame. I have been to Club Monico which is apparently the 'new' place to be. Not a shade on Kings, the Cuckoo Club (later Jack Rabbits - blatent Pulp Fiction rip off) had a far friendlier atmosphere.
• monico and astairs are harderly clubs but there good if you wanna go out and aint got alot of money
• Astairs is great on a friday night although you must be under 18 to enter
• Astairs, friday night bare safe, monico is for show offs and plays stupid pop music so head to astairs for quality tunes!

• There's the Monico and Astairs (which is a dive) along the seafront. But there isn't really any clubs. Have to go to Basildon or Southend.
• I guess it has to be Club Monico cos The Haystack went downhill when the decent doormen stopped working there about a year or so ago and Astairs is just scummy crap.

• monico is shit but we still go.astairs has got a sticky dancefloor,spend to much time on it and then ya stuck.its very embarrassing being prized off at end of the nite by the staff.

• Ollies pretty white arse is getting waxed to bugary on tuesday 25 november. his gooch will also get a bashing from the local salvation army cadets. lets not get talking about his mushroom shaped nipples as they are being stapled and covered in fat free mayonaise. Get well soon to dan as he stubbed his toe on bobbys lunch box.
• Have to say Just been to Club Monico and it has really changed over the past couple of months FOR THE BETTER!!! Friday night was excellent, you even get free wine!! Looking forward to the ladies nights too, bound to get some decent blokes knowing it will be packed with women!!!Have to say don,t go to Canvey much but I will go back now...

• Kings was a good club - just before it closed they had two DJ's working on Saturday nights - one was Paul Lovett who was on Essex FM at the time - he wasn't that good, but the other guy - he was excellent and really knew his music, pity he always used to finish at 12! Fridays were shit though I have to admit.
• Club Monico- over 18s on saturdays & over 25s on friday. Not bad - good for when you can't afford to Southend. Haystack open til 2am n'all which is always enjoyable

• Well Kings has shut now, NEVER MIND. It was only tossers there anyway!
• Kings - well what can i say, my brother is the manager down there and so can't really diss the place, used to be o.k, in it's time (about 5 years ago) now loads on old people so not the best place to go pull!!! (ANYTHING DECENT THAT IS!)
• Emily's has just become 'club monico', kings for the over 21's and the Haystack venue bar is pumping on a friday night.

• Go down 2 the Haystack (or The Stack as we call it) on a friday nite @ about 10pm & go in2 the venue bar. Garranteed fun!

• EMILYS, NO MORE SAID. KINGS, NAPPY NIGHT IS EVERY NIGHT. HAYSTACK IS OK TO MEET UP WITH MATES AND HAVE A LAUGH
• Emilys on a friday or saturday night if u are old enough it does good music loads of fun and it is good haystack is good but emilys is better

• kings is alright for a tear up and vomiting session. had some good times there in the eighties though... can be full of mad, drunken 'mocknies' who swear blind they new the krays etc etc. used to piss it up at the canute and crawl to the monico - mmmmm snakebites...!
• Kings is the place to go on Canvey. There is also Astairs on the seafront, which seems to specialise in ex-Stars in Their Eyes contestants.
• Kings is REALLY good, and i don't see why you can say its crap. I think the person who write about it has an attitude!!
• Kings Holiday club - made famous by the Essex Girls video which was recorded there. It is the place to go if you have your pull-out stereo at the ready to dance around, and are wearing those lovely white stilletoes with the pink bows!
• kings,i know it's pretty crap but it's alright for a cheap night out,when you have no money to go to Tots or Epping it's alright to go down the Haystack and then on to kings. And put it this way if you have nobody to go out with on a saturday night you'll easily bump into at least 20 people that you know down there as soon as you walk in!!!!!!
• there' two new clubs on the island but before you cheer they are really shite they are called Astairs and Astairs take two
• Astairs. Not bad if you like stars in their eyes people. Kings club. Alright for a night out until you're old enough to go somewhere else.
