Cafes and Coffee Shops
- And now in summer 2011 we introduce the gentrification of Poppit Cafe, gone are the down to earth staff and prices, now we have the obligatory young female waitresses, tables that are too high if you're under 5' 4" and general poshification. Guess what, the prices have taken a hike too! £4.75 for a baguette, £4.25 for a toasted sandwich, £2.75 for a piece of cake and £1.25 for a burnt brownie, I wonder who runs the place now? No-one from the struggling class that's for sure!
- There is a new cafe in Cardigan Jndoor Market called Oasis. Its run by Karen and her Ateam! The food is homecooked and down to earth delicious. The prices are good and you do not have to wait long to be served .I would urge anyone to give it a try,you wont be disappointed.
- There's a new cafe in the Guildhall market called Oasis as of the end of 2009, a bit more down to earth than the last one and they serve you with real cups, plates, cutlery etc, not like Ultracomida with their disposable plastic and cardboard rubbish clogging up the environment.
- Let's be honest here, Cardigan Indoor Market cafe is not a wonderful place to eat, well the place might be but the food isn't, it's OK and nothing more and it ain't cheap except to you city trendies. A lot of it is rather bland and when I've eaten there loads of customers didn't finish their meal before they left. The baguettes are half burnt a lot of the time though they have improved recently. It's not very eco friendly either they give you paper cups and plastic containers even if you're eating in!! The cheese is horrendously expensive and doesn't taste any better for it, I bought a tiny amount of cheese for £7 and it was tasteless, never again. The salted olives taste of well, salt! I mean it's all very nice if you're a phoney who lives your life out of a lifestyle magazine but to anyone with their feet on the ground it's an OK place for a cuppa and a snack and that's it. The best thing about is that the staff are friendly and not stuck up.
- Cardigan Indoor Market is a wonderful place to eat. It sells the most delicious cheeses, meats, cakes and drinks including my personal favourite - an extra thick hot chocolate which requires a spoon.

- MY LATE UNCLE KEN MAY HAD A GOOD PUB THE LAMB, AND THE CAFE NEXT DOOR, WAS GOOD,
- Mwldan cafe would probably be nice if it wasnt run by the unemployed skanky bastards at area 43.......alien cake ...lush
- Cardigan Arms chip shop is the best in the world. Full of hambones to take the piss out of ,the place is stuck in a 1950s timewarp. The curry sauce is out of this world! The Happy Tummy in the market is pretty good if you want to score yourself some pills and underage girls.
- The vegetarian cafe in the upper market is good, there is a wide selection of tasty and good for you food and the service is top class. The 'Homely Kitchen' is a nice little cafe, the owners being highly respectable and the food and drink makes your mouth water before you even get to eat/drink it.
